Later that night
You manage to make your way to the center of town, it seems eerily quiet as you begin to approach the meeting place. Something feels off, but your not quite sure what that may be as the torches that once lined the houses seem to have vanished.
But then all of a sudden a small cluster of torches ignite and you quickly cover your eyes so as not to be blinded by the sudden burst of light. As you do so you hear the gravel on the road shift slowly behind you and you see dark clothed men with crossbows pointed towards you.
"My dearest apologies, but they only mean to protect me". You turn back to look at where the voice came from as you now see a man standing calmly in the middle of the street, dark robes just barely touching the ground. He slowly removes his cowl and you see a young man, maybe in his mid twenties. He has short dark brown hair and light brown colored eyes. "I'm so glad you decided to join me, although there seem to be fewer than I had previously expected, but i'm sure you will suffice for now." He says with a snide smirk on his face. "I have asked you to join me here tonight because I have a proposition for you. I have a job for you all, the bandits that have been attacking the town need to be stopped by whatever means necessary. If you do so, I will reward you greatly, but if not...well I guess that won't really matter now will it?" He says with a hearty chuckle.
"I have had other come before you, some have survived. But most have fallen. From the scant few that HAVE made it back they tell me that the bandits lie to the North East, not too far from here. I have reports saying that there are not too many, but those who are there are rather skilled at their particular "trade" so to speak." He says as he begins to look you over, seemingly sizing you up.
"Now then, what do you say?" He says opening his arms up towards you
