Idwal was confused how a man could daydream out of a conversation and nearly walk into a wall, he then turned to the man who stopped the idiot, 'I am idwal the shield expert, I suspect you also got one of these notes' idwal said holding his note toward isaac 'As I think who ever is handing these out is handing them out to every mercenary or other people who could stop these raiders. At least they could have said so rather then trying to make things, "ominous"' Idwal moaned 'why can they never take the practical method'

Pete began walking back towards the Pub to find himself a nice comfortable corner to sit in. There aren't any other friendlier places around.
Pete began reading the note as he went to the Pub.
'To the Serpent of Denoril, a request of assistance.
Our town had been plagued by a group of marauding bandits for over a year.
The contract and its details are the following:
Ymjky. Rflnyjp Whgl, jsmfsxjx xyjfqym fgnqnynjx.
Xzxuhy - Nsabxngnqnyd , Nsyjq wjvznwji.
Tymjw Nsktwrfynts : Nsijujsijsy.'

shit, it's encrypted Pete increased his pace, now eager more than ever to find out the details of the operation.

Not gibberish, I worked on this for 10 minutes.

Isaac turned to Idwal, while keeping an eye on the drifter as to make sure he did't harm himself. "Sometimes you can't always take the practical way, whoever decided to send us these notes must have a reason for doing so in the way that they did. I don't know about you guys but there wasn't anything missing from the room I was in, so it's not like they were there to steal our stuff then leave the note. Whoever commissioned that they be sent must want to make it look like they're not involved for whatever reason." Isaac said in a somewhat confused tone trying to think who possibly could have sent the note.
"There are too many people who could have sent it to really know who it is. I don't know about you two but I know i'll be there, I want to know who it is that's behind all this, and i'm tired of these bandits harassing the few people that still call this place home." Isaac said seeming more annoyed as he went on as he clenched his fist thinking how many people's lives that have been ruined by them

"Hm?" Hearing a new voice talking to him, Jethro stopped and looked up, and saw a very solid-looking wall right in front of him. He stared at it for a few seconds, thinking Now, how did I miss that? Grinning sheepishly, he turned toward the newcomer, whom he heard introducing himself as 'Issac'. "Thanks for that."

He walked up to Issac, holding out his hand. "Name's Jethro."

"Good to meet you Jethro, Glad I could be of help to you" Isaac said while grinning from ear to ear as he shook Jethros' hand firmly.
"So where are you guys going? Are you trying to scope out the meeting location or just wandering through town? There's not much to see since the bandits started appearing here."

"You're telling me." Jethro shifted his mace and shield to a more comfortable spot on his shoulder as he looked around at the almost empty street, his eyes drifting back to the odd buildings once or twice. He turned his head back toward the two men. "I just kinda figured, 'Haven't been here before, might be worth checking out,' you know?"

That is a good observation Jethro, although I have scouted out most of the town during my time here in the city and all seems to be well. I didn't find anything out of the ordinary here or really anywhere that I have been here in town. I think it would be best if we waited out the time at the Limping Dragon, it's one of the last remaining inns that are here.

what is the key? Pete sat at the corner of the Pub, avoiding any eye contact. I need to find a place to stay at. Maybe I could stay here, with the approval of the serpent Pete took a small piece of graffit from his pocket and began scrawling on the note.
This must be simple. It's between serpents. Must be some key, or swap Pete continued to scour the list of possibilities in his mind.

Jethro looked around once more and, sure enough, saw nothing of interest in the area. Shrugging his shoulders, he looked back at Issac. "Works for me. Lead the way, good sir."

"Alright then, i'll get us there as quick as I can" Isaac said with a smile as he darted off through an alley I guess this will be a good test to see if thy're quick on their feet, heh
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It took about ten minutes for Isaac and the others to reach the limping dragon just as night fell onto Terandril.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Isaac swung open the doors to the inn and quickly sat down at a table. "Hey guys, you want a drink or two? I'm buying" Isaac said with a chuckle. "It wont be very long till we have to head out anyways"

idwal followed Isaac, he walked at a normal walking speed, wonder why he is such a rush, despite loosing sight of Isaac he was able to follow him by the sound of his foot steps.

After about 16 minuets he reached the limping dragon, he then walked into the bar with his shield still equipped and then stood in the corner of the bar.

Jethro, surprised by Issac's swift departure, ran after him into the alley. Despite losing him once or twice, Jethro arrived at the Limping Dragon not long after Issac. He entered the tavern and sat down across the table from Issac, propping his weapons against an empty chair. Upon hearing the offer of a drink, Jethro grinned and nodded. "Sure, I'll have a beer, thanks."

Jethro glanced out the window and saw that it was indeed getting dark out. His thoughts drifted back to the note. Who sent it? And what do they want with a fisherman like me?

This is it Pete drew a circle on the page and wrote down the alphabet. 6 lines, 6 letters. If we translate it Pete begn scribbling something on the paper, and this is hat he found:

'Theft. Magitek Ring, enhances stealth abilities.
Suspect Invisibility. Intel required.
Other Information : Independant'

"A Magitek ring... that's interesting" Pete mumbled.

at the moment it's kinda a ***** to post, since I'm on a phone. Also for what's coming up (the meeting) I somewhat hoped that there would be more active posting than just a few people. Hopefully I'll be home in a few hours and I'll post it then regardless of who is or isn't posting.

Later that night
You manage to make your way to the center of town, it seems eerily quiet as you begin to approach the meeting place. Something feels off, but your not quite sure what that may be as the torches that once lined the houses seem to have vanished.

But then all of a sudden a small cluster of torches ignite and you quickly cover your eyes so as not to be blinded by the sudden burst of light. As you do so you hear the gravel on the road shift slowly behind you and you see dark clothed men with crossbows pointed towards you.

"My dearest apologies, but they only mean to protect me". You turn back to look at where the voice came from as you now see a man standing calmly in the middle of the street, dark robes just barely touching the ground. He slowly removes his cowl and you see a young man, maybe in his mid twenties. He has short dark brown hair and light brown colored eyes. "I'm so glad you decided to join me, although there seem to be fewer than I had previously expected, but i'm sure you will suffice for now." He says with a snide smirk on his face. "I have asked you to join me here tonight because I have a proposition for you. I have a job for you all, the bandits that have been attacking the town need to be stopped by whatever means necessary. If you do so, I will reward you greatly, but if not...well I guess that won't really matter now will it?" He says with a hearty chuckle.

"I have had other come before you, some have survived. But most have fallen. From the scant few that HAVE made it back they tell me that the bandits lie to the North East, not too far from here. I have reports saying that there are not too many, but those who are there are rather skilled at their particular "trade" so to speak." He says as he begins to look you over, seemingly sizing you up.

"Now then, what do you say?" He says opening his arms up towards you
