I'm a bit confused I'm circumcised but it doesn't matter much to me. Its not like I can remember them doing it to me or anything. Really idk why people get so passionate over this topic. Its not like it will make or break your life and besides whats done is done. Maybe I'm just missing the point (shrugs).

MAN, that's unfortunate. I mean, I generally avoid porn with any men in it at all, but it must be terrible to be so disgusted with such an important part of your anatomy. That's not really normal either, for circumcised or uncircumcised people. Seriously, you might need to talk to someone about that.

the parents already made the baby, so making another lifelong decision for it without its consent is a natural parental skill by now.

What argument? The old "it's less of a nuisance if done to a kid" crap - which ignores that it is extremely rare for a circumcision to be necessary.

Seriously, this topic has been done to death. There's very little point in arguing it anymore, seeing as both sides are firmly trenched in their respective stances, and no matter how much either side quotes to WHO, neither side is going to relent. Posting a topic like this is just asking for a flame war.

Here's a novel idea. If you support circumcision, have your male kids circumcised. If you don't, then don't. Simple as that.

As for me? I'm uncircumcised and glad. If I felt the need to get it that would be fine, but having it done before I even had a choice is just stupid.

It's not so different. There are different types of female circumcision. Yes, the one that chops off the clit would be like a castration. But the one that cuts off the clitoral hood, and perhaps the labia minora, is a great analogue to male circumcision.

I have read that circumcised people tend to 'feel less'. Also, personal choice? Your personal choice to circumcise your children or your children's choice to let themselves be circumcised when they're very young?

Last year i had a circumcision for medical reasons (one that may be genetic.)

So having lived 25 years with foreskin and now not having any, it's a little... weird. But, as i mentioned, the condition i suffered from may have a basis in my d.n.a. so when it comes to my as-yet-unborn son or sons, i may have them circumcised at birth merely to revent them from going through the same psychological "trauma" that i went through in adulthood. If you've never had it, you can't miss it, right? (Which i do, terribly so.)

Oh, and yes, you do feel less, but on the upside you last longer, with the same final result, so it isn't all bad. I just wish there was an option for reversing the procedure.

Que? 'ingrained' into me? I've actually never even heard the word 'circumcise(d)' spoken. Like...ever. It's not really something that gets brought up in normal conversation. "Oh, hey, by the way, have we told you how great it is to get circumcised? Yeah, getting part of your dick cut off is just so great; and good for you too! Have your family circumcised ASAP. Girls, too! Circumcise the world!"
