(Do I care? Do I really even want to get into this? Do I want to get this on my hands?...)
I used to play CoH/CoV, back before it went free-to-play. There were some smart, decent people and some people who would scream obscenities as they repeatedly pulled the kind of nonsense that got their team killed. There were polite and conscientious people, and people who screamed in all caps to whole zones.
My personal favorite was the guy (probably very young) who somehow felt I was obligated to team with him, not understanding that "no" was all that was required of me and that any further details or explanations are a courtesy.
I don't know what the scene looks like since going F-T-P, but what I'm reading doesn't fill me with confidence that a patient and long-suffering player is suffering terrible injustice at the hands of authorities that only phase out of apathy to mis-use their powers to the detriment of good players.
What I'm reading sounds a lot more like a short-fused player who happily heaps scorn on anyone who crosses him and revels in his supposed superiority to most of his fellow players is hoping that the audience of the Escapist's forums will exact a revenge for him that he hasn't really thought that long about.
The whip-crack speed responses every ten minutes or so, complete with spelling errors, are not assuaging this sense. Indeed, they're building the case that you have a tendency to go off half-cocked, as it were.
Now, I'm not saying any of this to pick on you, and I hope, perhaps against the odds, you have the reason to recognize this. What I'm trying to explain is that rather than making the case against City of Heroes, you're harming your own credibility, and quite possibly heading towards a suspension or ban.
The world is not all against you here. These responses you're getting are not a predetermined outpouring of malice, but a reaction to what you've stated. Take a step back, take a deep breath, consider if what you're trying to say is worth it, and if so, try to say it in a way that doesn't make people want to pull their own version of /@ignore.
And pretty please, if you can't parse that, have the sense not to expect a reply from me.
