Aloran stood, wondered over to Em.
"You, are going the right way for an asskicking" he warned with a smirk on his face.
He walked out of the door, looking up into the sunny sky, the people on the street bustling about, there lives getting shorter by the second.
"Come on then ladies, I dont want to have to find you both leashes."
"Awww, it's cute that he thinks he's in charge." Em said, as Ari walked through the door. She closed it behind them and set off down the street running, stopping just ahead of Alo.
"Okay, I say we split up, it'd get things done faster." Em suggested.
"And if we find said culprits we are alone, we should walk into a bar and claim we have killed Kronos, Im sure word would get about then they will probably come to us." Aloran mused aloud.
"Ooooh... I like that. The real culprits will want all the credit, so they'll seek us out. Good thinking Alo!" Em said.
"By the way, I know you're not a salesman, what are you really?" She asked, as they walked towards the more 'shady' area of town.
"If im honest, Im a thief, a murderer, and a mercenary, used to be a dancer though hence the scars. I'd guese you and Ari are harlots?"
Alo, pulled out his pipe and began smoking.
"But my all means if you like my plan lead the way, I know my place when Im told missus."
"I should have known neither of you were harlots, you are both far too beautiful," Aloran layered his voice with honey, "If people can't take a joke then they should learn to retort, and plus I never stole from my comrades, at that point I was mearly a prisoner of Kronos."
Aloran is in hot water now, I don't think that flirting is going to save him. And if it does, Hammond may be having words with Alo. Angry words that flit on the edge of jealousy and may or may not have a sword-in-the-eye accompaniment.
Good luck, Alotak. =)
"Medic shmedic, I'll be fine." Hammond handwaved Kronos' protestations and went to the barman about the room number.
"Yeh, barman," Hammond began, caring little for subtlety at this time of the morning, "You're going to give me Magnis Skullhammer's room number and key. He's already slept in and I'm not really wanting to stay around for much longer, you see."
"I'm sorry, but I can't just give you the key. I can't just give out keys to whoever asks for any reason."
"Whenever did I ask for the key? I told you to give me the key. I don't have time to waste revising your innkeeping policy, okay? So just give me the key. Or will I have to check every room for him?" He had expected this to work, because the only thing that had saved the inn last night was Em he doubted that anyone in the inn was experienced in combat.
The barman seemed to waver between two states, unconvinced and unsure, for a short time before Hammond's arm took a move towards his beam sword. The barman saw the insinuation and thought that dying for a simple policy was ridiculous, reluctantly handing over the key.
"Perfect," Hammond took the key, "Just a thought, get some guards here and there. The bar would get probably be attacked less." With that he left to retrieve Magnis from his room.
"Oh yeah. Well all's fair in war and theft." Em said happily, as they reached a seedy looking bar near the docks. She pushed open the door energetically before practically skipping to the bar.
"2 of your best drinks please mate! We're celebratin'!" She told the barman. with a huge grin on her face. She winked at Alo as he sat down, hoping he'd follow her lead.
Alo laid his arm around Em's sholders, waving his other arm in the air gesticulating wildly.
"Indeed, for we are all free!" He cheered, "free from the opression you have suffered!"
"It was beautiful... the look on his face as we closed the door, who do we see for our reward though?" he mused. Alo took the beer, drinking it down in one go but spilling quite a bit on himself and Em.
The Barman's eyes widened and he pointed to a door on the far wall "Through there, they said to send whoever came to collect the reward through there." He said, a bit panicked
As Hammond neared the door he could hear muffled yells from inside the room. Something told him he didn't want to open that door... But his curiousity wouldn't let it go undone. It was Magnis in there, after all. How mentally scarring could he manage to be?
It appeared the answer was 'Very.' As he unlocked the door Magnis fell into the hallway with all the grace and subtlety of a pregnant hippo, just as naked and making twice as much noise. The image was making him fell violently sick once more, so Hammond turned away quickly.
"You keep all of your weapons with you at all times, but you can't even find a pair of pants?!" He paused, perhaps waiting for some answer. Not that he'd get one. "...I'm not even going to pretend that I'm surprised any more. Look, meet us downstairs after you get some clothes on... We've got places to be and people to not mentally scar for the rest of their lives."
Upon saying this he quickly retreated downstairs back to the table with Kronos.
He sat down and said, "Next time we sleep in an inn, you wake him..."
"Awesome! Thanks." Em and Alo walked over to the door the barman had pointed them too and knocked lightly.
"[small]Have your weapon at the ready.[/small]" Em mumbled to him, keeping on hand very close to her dagger. She pushed the door open slowly.
