"So you didn't see her go into the alleyway and you didn't see anyone come out? Hmm..." He was more than a little confused. Usually someone had to suffer a great physical or mental wound to drift into unconsciousness and Ari did not seem like the type to have either.

But then, the stillest waters do run deepest. Perhaps Ari had more to her than first met the eye...

The doors to the inn creaked as a short man carrying a large satchel entered. His sombrero shaded his face, leaving only his orange sunglasses visible. Without a word he stepped deliberately over to the bar and took a seat, pointing at a bottle of whiskey behind the counter and dropping several coins onto the bar's surface.

The barman looked at the man in the sombrero, then the coins, before setting the bottle on the counter.

Lord Kronos approached from behind, sat next to the man "Haven't seen you around thes parts before, what brings you here?" Kronos queried.

TO ARI!

A doctor stepped out in front of Ari as she headed for the exit "I'm sorry ma'am but you haven't been discharged yet, I'm going to ask that you return to your room until then." he said in a calm tone.

Savannah came up behind the doctor (for he had been watching him approach Ari) and grabbed him by the shoulder. His eyes taking on a slightly steely look, he said,

"I believe Ms. Aricla is perfectly healthy, if your reports are accurate. She will be coming with me now."

Will this require a roll?

The man reached for the bottle and drew it to his mouth, biting the cork and pulling it free before spitting it back out onto the bar.
"I" he said in a graveled and deep voice, "am here on business..." He turned in his seat to look in Magnis's direction, pointing at the giant barbarian "You... you are not wearing any pants."

"Nothing dangerous if thats what you mean, just a selection of herbs. Helps to clear the mind, and relax the body." He responded, "Hmm, I wonder where Hammond is? or our harlot friend for that matter."

"'Let me get her' you say. 'It will allow me to process her mental stability and establish a connection' you say..." Hammond complained loudly, from a short ways behind Savannah, before he sighed, unsure why he had even allowed Mister Savannah to speak to the doctor, never mind to ask for the release of a person he didn't know.

"You realise we'll have to go after her..." He rubbed his temple. "Look, there's a bar not far from here, okay? Go there, find Magnis Skullhammer and get him and the little group he's with to come searching for her."

"How will I know who he is?"

"Oh. You can't miss him..." He chuckled, mostly because he could already see the look on the green suited man's face when he was confronted with the barbarian. He quickly snapped back to the problem at hand. "Just go do it, I'll be looking for Ari in the mean time." He patted Savannah on the arm and began to run after Ari, budging his way out into the street.

Okay... If I was a Futuristic Beastmaster in an Archaic town, were would I hide? He looked around, hoping to see signs indicating which direction she had run in...

Savannah strutted down the street not quite like he owned the place, but thought he should. Eventually, he stopped outside a bar with black walls.

"Is this the sort of place where a Magnis Skullhammer would hide?" he said aloud, attracting odd glances from passers-by, and one or two amused ones. Savannah felt that some form of joke was being played on him. This did not sit well. He entered the bar nonetheless.

He left precisely 41 seconds later, deciding that the sort of things he had seen going on in the bar made it an unlikely candidate, and an establishment he would not care to revisit.

Another few minutes later, Savannah came across another bar. He went inside, saw a completely naked man, and was just about to leave again with a muttered "What is wrong with this town?" when he realised everyone else was fully clothed.

His instincts (which rarely let him down) told him the man in question was, unfortunately, Magnis Skullhammer. He took a deep breath, approached the perhaps deranged individual and said,

"You are Magnis Skullhammer, unless I'm mistaken. I have been sent to find you by a man I believe to be a friend of yours called Hammond. He informed me that you will be able to gather a group able to find Ms. Aricla."

He finished abruptly, keeping his eyes firmly up and his expression disdainful.

Shit... I can't have lost her already... He looked around, hoping to see even the faintest glimpse of Ari among the crowds. It seemed that he didn't need to, the crowds were doing the work for him. He could see them shifting apart to create a large circular gap further down into the market. And he would bet his left arm that he knew the cause. Ari...

Quickly the gap filled back in and the market went back to it's business, the inhabitants now entirely oblivious to Ari's presence, and Hammond was forced to search once more. He had seen the stalls surrounding her, she had to be close to one of them. It was a fish stall, he knew that, and he kept going towards the sign.

"Ari! Ari!" He was pushing past people, hoping to see her for even a fleeting moment, worried that she had run off before and that she could do so again. A thousand faces in this crowd and the only one he wanted to see was hers...

He saw her, shrunken down into a ball at the foot of the fish stall... She looked so lost, so helpless in the ever-moving crowd of people like a rabbit in headlights... He needed to help her.

"Ari!" He charged to her, knocking one unlucky market patron over as he went past, and knelt down to see her face-to-face.

Castiel had watched the man in green enter the inn, taking note of his exotic suit and wonderful trousers. He was even about to compliment the man on his dress sense, but then the man spoke to the barbarian.
Like a pigeon strapped to a grenade The Prince of Cats burst into action, lunging off the barstool, stopping barely a couple of feet away from the green-dressed man, holding the pistol from his left hip-holster by the barrel, handle pointed toward the green man.
From beneath his large brimmed hat he peered at the suited man, "You sir, obviously do not understand who you are messing with. Never interrupt my business, or there shall be consequences. Now, take the gun... let us duel!!"

Before she had retreated he had seen her, her face red from exertion and a seemingly unstoppable torrent of tears streaming from her eyes, her pupils were so large and her lips cracked open to make words and none came, and then she crawled as fast as she could to escape. What had happened to her to reduce her to scurrying along the floor like some insignificant pet? What was still happening to her to make her act like this?

There were not many times Hammond truly felt for another person. He could probably count the times on one hand and yet... he had never thought this was a person he could feel sorry for. She had seemed so together before, and this Ari was a shattered clone of her former self.

He saw no way to make her come with him, she had grown so paranoid of him and he didn't know why... He could almost feel his own eyes welling up to pity the poor creature. "Ari, what's happened to you? What changed?"

He reached an arm out to her, not wanting to get too close and scare her away, and hoped that she would take it. "Aricla... We only want to help. Won't you let us help you?"

He's reaching his arm out during a slightly dramatic scene, he must be serious.

Savannah turned his head to the man wearing a sombrero and holding a gun out to him. After glancing at the gun, he set his briefcase down on a table, opened it, produced his own pistol, and cleared his throat.

"Excuse me a second" Aloran nodded to Em.
He re-entered the bar, drawning an axe, he quietly walked up behind Sav and swung for the back of his neck with the blunt side of his axe.

Rolled higher than Alotak, here goes.

Savannah heard movement behind him, the movement of someone trying not to be heard. In one motion, he spun around and attempted to pistol-whip Alotak in the head. His swing missed, but he took it in his stride, falling into a defensive pose and pointing his pistol towards Alotak.
