"Ahh... Stupid bitchy psionics," Hammond complained loudly, picking a splinter out of his side, "Think they're so good with their floating chairs!" He stomped down onto what was left of the man, desecrating the already mangled mess of organs. "Why. Did. You. Do it!?" He shouted, punctuating his words with squishes from the man's corpse. "You couldn't wait until after our team's beastmaster came back from her psychotic episode. Nooooo. That would be too good for us!" As his sentence ended he kicked what was left of the man across the room, sending half of it splattering onto a wall and sliding slowly down to leave a trail of sickly yellow bile, the other half scattering itself across the room in a thick red paste.
He felt eyes upon him, so turned to see their owners. They were stood, all shocked at his outburst.
"You know what? Fuck you guys. I've spent the entire day so far trying to get Ari back to normal, carrying her the entire way back here and had to comfort her as she cried her eyes out and the rest of you couldn't even get off your own arses, not even to find out about her, until your own life was at risk! Yeh, none of you have even figured it out yet. You didn't know she was broken until right fucking now!" His voice was cracking and he stormed out of the bar, throwing a table over in the process. He could barely hear or see anymore, everything was an obscure blur caused by his rage, but he stormed in any direction he could. Why couldn't they have shown up before? Why couldn't they have helped Ari like he had tried? Why did she have to run off again...? He wiped a blood-sodden sleeve across his eyes, clearing them of the gathering tears and staining his face with a deep red line.
Couldn't she see that he meant well?
...Maybe she couldn't. Maybe whatever had happened had made her unable to see his intention. Everything he was doing could be for naught, Ari could eventually be lost completely. No! He wouldn't accept that! She couldn't be gone. He could still see her in his mind, a confident juxtaposition of the present Ari, and he wouldn't let her slip away just because she was blinded by her madness. He would help her clear her mind, whether she wanted his help or not. But first he must find her... He started walking further away from the bar, knowing she would not return there of her own accord.
