Classic PS1 games

Castlevania:SOTN Never played it on the PS1 but downloaded it to the 360 and loved it.

Crash 3:warped:first game i got for the PS1.

Also spyro 2 Ripto's Rage, IMO the best in the series, though 1 and 3 weren't bad either


Ape Escape: frustrated the hell out of me but once I got used to the controls it was fun as hell

Anyways, my favorites were probably:
Spyro, and all the following Spyro games.
Ape Escape.
Legend of Dragoon.
FF7.
Crash Bandicoot.
Gex.
And, Rayman.

Good times, good times.

I am appalled that Final Fantasy Tactics has not appeared on this list. The original was a fantastic display of gaming, even now it would stack up.

Spider-Man, so much goodness

Especially "What if?" mode, huh? I call shotgun on the flying banana!

Seriously, a good classic (that's not Spider-Man) would have to be Vagrant Story. It has a unique way of getting stat boost (other than using items), and the fact that the bosses each required a different strategy (aim for the tail, use water-affinity equipment, etc.) added a needed difficulty curve that Squaresoft (it was still called this) lacked in the game before it(FFIX).

And don't you guys forget about Vagrant Story, Lunar Silver Star, Arc the Lad 2, Valkyrie Profile, Parasite Eve, Chrono Cross and Wild Arms 2!

I daresay I won't. The three games I played from that list (VS, CC, WA2) are three of my top PS1 games.

Metal Gear Solid was a once in a lifetime experience, although I remember attempting the demo in my local game store (which was the first few levels) while "Miami" by Will Smith played in the background on loop, I thought it was part of the game!

Tony Hawks 2 was a great game, and Tekken 3 set the bar for that series from then on, although Tekken 2 was the first time it all came together so well, and I will confess to spamming Law's somersault kicks to win...

Mostly RPGs: Final Fantasy series, Suikoden I & II, Wild Arms, Vandal Hearts, Breath of Fire 4 (3 was ok), Grandia, Blazing Dragons and then a few other non-RPGs: Gran Turismo 2, Tekken 3, V-Rally, Spyro and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - Vae Victus.

Any of the Spyros, Tekken 2 and 3 and Jet Rider 2 are all great fun. The graphics aren't all that great, but man the gameplay in all of them is still amazing.

I'm not sure about classics but my personal favourites were Hogs of War and Team Buddies (Which I saw going for £40 on amazon a few weeks ago.)

Team Buddies, that was an amazing game, I really want to go dig that out now.

Of all the games I had on PSone I suppose these are the ones I remember most fondly.

Tekken 2 and 3
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus
Medievil 1 and 2
Any Crash Bandicoot game - 1,2,3 and Crash Team Racing were what I played and I'm pretty sure that was the entire PSone library of Crash.

And also, the PSone ports of Worms and Theme Hospital were really good.

Just to go off a bit of the norm, I love me some Digimon World. That was one of my favorite series to play on the PS1.

Well i love all the gran terismo games(probably spelt wrong but oh well), this fighting game called Destrega and a game called crazy football(soccer for americans) and its a football match with no rules-pretty hilarious when you body tackle someone then pick up the ball and score...
