Rainbow w/ Dio
Black Sabbath w/ Dio

And I really recommend you check out Wolfmother too
It's a modern band but plays the same kind of awesome music.

Well....

seeing as how that is the only music I listen to, I'd have to go with:

Led Zeppelin
Metallica
The Who
The Beatles
The Doors
Jimi Hendrix
Creedence Clearwater Revival
The Rolling Stones
Iron Maiden
Pink Floyd

Rule Britannia

Judas Priest is my all-time favorite band. I can't find any songs that'd do my love for them justice.

(not too sure if embedding will work)
Scorpions, always a classic

The "classicosity" of Dark Tranquility could be debated, however this is still a complete headbanging tune.

Just remove the empty space you left in your brackets and the embeds will work.

Like so (properly spell youtube, of course):

Code:
[ youtoob=xxxxxxxxxxx ] <- Not working
[youtoob=xxxxxxxxxxx] <--- Working
Okie dokey lokey.
This should work now. Thanks

I do like a decent instrumental, metal wise.

Despite Bruce Dickinson being a wonderful vocalist, this is a fave piece of classic Iron Maiden.

Faith No More don't get enough credit imo, I know they're perhaps on the tail end of classic rock, but Epic was a masterpiece, and to me, they're one of the few bands who've truly evolved with every new album, yet kept the quality up.

Also, if I'm honest, I'd try to shoehorn a Faith No More link into a dubstep, classical, or country discussion if I could, just because there's still people who just don't understand how great they were.

So here's my favourite instrumental from them:

Because I can I'm going to drop some Metallica in too, had to choose between Orion and this one, both are so good in their slow yet overpowering build up.

Seriously, as far as rock goes, these guys are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Been singing it all day. Not that I mind, I mostly just kept having to repeat it (and a few Iron Maiden songs) to drown out the in-store radio at work, which was playing nothing but crap.
