They've never pretended to be musically excellent, they just play dirty blues and have done for years. No cover ups, it's just what they do and even if it is simple it still sounds good!

Reminds me of the chats I used to have with music students who'd try say that so&so was bad and we should all listen to this&that. To which I pointed out that most people don't care about treble clefs, parallel fifths and chord progression, they just want something that sounds nice and keeps them entertained between birth and death.

Well, most of the good ones have already been said, but you should definitely add some more Pink Floyd - I'd say go with the entire "Dark Side of the Moon" album, or at the very least get all the songs off there that aren't instrumentals. If you just want individual songs, go with these:

Time, Money, Wish You Were Here, Have a Cigar, In the Flesh?, Mother, Hey You, Comfortably Numb (if you don't already have that one, for shame), or Run Like Hell. If you like really long songs, go with Shine on You Crazy Diamond (the version off of "Pulse" with David Gilmour singing is best) or Dogs.

Go to pandora.com and create a station using the band AC/DC or AeroSmith. It'll automatically play songs from that genre. I found a lot of great songs that way

...Seriously, if you need more music, use Pandora. Everything from my library is from there, if not from the radio station I listen to locally.

I would say "American Woman" and "No Sugar Tonight" (some count it as two songs, but its always played as one) by (the) Guess Who, and most any early song by Bachman-Turner Overdrive ("You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Let It Roll", and definitely "Takin' Care of Business").

Spinal Tap (yeah, kinda just kidding there, but This is Spinal Tap [a "rockumentary" of the band] is a must-see movie)....

Not really fully stocked. I have 4 from ACDC, Thunderstruck, Highway to Hell, Hells Bells, and TNT, and GnR I have 4 also, Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. Also saw GnR in concert a few years back.

OMG your missing out on so much! You need to get some more.

Sorry, I just never understood Journey, their songs are just so weak. ACaDaCa at least wrote some great riffs and pop songs. Also I know they wrote great songs, shit loads better compared to crap bands these days so don't tell me they aren't.

And now you have left me no choice but to ask which GnR songs your talking about, if don't say November Rain then you fail miserably as a human being.

I'm not sure they rate as 'Classic Rock', but I always enjoy ZZ Top. I can especially recommend the songs "Can't Stop Rockin'", "Sharp Dressed Man", "Lowrider", "La Grange", "Tube Snake Boogie", "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "She Got Legs".
