Yeah sure it is classy, but due to how my hair grows i have to shave my neck and VERY close to my ears.

Being classy is not worth cutting of your ear or slitting your throat

I'd love to learn, but I think I'd wait until Uni. Walking around the house with my younger siblings whilst weilding what amounts to a FACE-KNIFE would upset the parents

This thread must not be meant for men. For, men have beards.
Finally, someone else with some good manly common sense. Growing hair out your own face is manly. Cutting it off is not.

I'd shake your hand if it wasn't for the whole internet thing.

Alright I could see that using a strait razor for the face would work and even be nice for smooth feel, but think of the time that it would take for a woman to shave her legs! I mean I have to shave at lest every other day, it takes me normally 3 minutes (fast) 5 minutes for a thorough shave. Why in gods name would I want to make my daily route at least another 30 minutes longer. I might as well just get a waxing at that point.

Side Note: Guys waxing does hurt. I do prefer it, smooth legs for at least 2 weeks and thinner hair next time. Women have waxing done on our faces for some areas. (Still it hurts) So I wonder why guys don't wax the face? No razor burn or ingrown hairs for 2 weeks and the hair that grows back is finer and thinner.

I started out with an electric at first and hated the thing with a vengeance. I like the idea of a proper razor just like I like the idea of smoking a pipe.

In all honesty I don't see me getting round to it. Normally I only shave every few days or If I have a good reason to. Kinda fond of the designer stubble I get after a day or two, also I'm a lazy bastard and not shaving is less effort than shaving regularly.

A semi-decent disposable will last me months.

Edit:

That's why, a beard must be an option at all times, you never know when you will need one. Also razors are more dangerous/supposedly masculine its the same reason guys cook at barbecues. At least that's my take on it.

Or, electric.

*Removes all stubble in 10 seconds*
Note the thread title: "Classy as Fuck". Electric is not classy, nor will it completely remove stubble.
Electric razor's are great is you want to leave some form of 5 o'clock shadow

Why would you want to shave?! Grow a beard, invest in a decent trimmer and be a man, dammit!
like the kfc guy?
i use an electric razor, it's fast and easy.
That is true, but it does a poor job in comparison to a razor. There is also something about feeling my face when done shaving.

My beard is guilty of impersonating [HEADING=1]BRIAN BLESSED!![/HEADING]

Either I keep it like that or shave it all off.

TL ; DR

I'm going to assume this is about shaving, and that all guys should do it.
I shave when it suits me, or when I absolutely have to.

Beards are manly (only guys who can't grow them will say that they are not) and awesome.
It will be several years until I have my ideal long forked beard of awesomeness, but it is still awesome as it is.

For those of us that are cursed with good beard growing genes, shaving every day is like washing your car every day because it gets a bit dirty.
Once a week is the best I can do.

FYI: Unless you get a really good electric razor, you'll still have a bit of stubble when you're done.
Manual blades > all (it just takes a while to get used to/skilled, so get used to nicks and cuts)

LOL! WAX THE FACE?!?!?
Why don't people wax their head-hair instead of getting hair cuts?
Because the hair is too thick there, and you will remove flesh

In high school, this mountaineer who climbed a bunch of really tall mountains came to my school to give one of those "you can do anything you want in life"
He also told us that he can't grow a proper beard because on one expedition, his beard got frozen, and he had to tear it off because it was in his way of his clothing and safety equipment. It tore off a good portion of skin, and that hair will never grow back.

I'd rather take the long arduous process of shaving than wax my face.
Dear god? waxing the face >.<

The root of the hair is also much deeper than other face hair. I've plucked a few out of curiosity and it's not pretty. Seriously, plucking a lip hair is easily the most painful hair related experience I've ever had. There's also the issue of wanting to grow a beard later, I think a lot less women would want to have increasingly thinner facial hair if the Frida Kahlo look ever took off.

Waxing really isn't that bad. It hurts really bad for about a second and then it just sorta tingles.

Straight razor shaving was also never popular with people in a home setting. It was popular to have it done in barber shops, but most men didn't own straight razors. I really hope if this is to become a series, that there will be less errors in further installments.

I use a machete and angel dust.

Seriously though I'm sticking with disposables - it may not be classy (and I agree straight razor shaving is classy as fuck) but I will straight up murder myself otherwise, I'm sure of it.

Classy, yes.

Efficient and ergonomic, no.

I just don't have that kind of time every morning. Seriously, to shave with a straight razor properly, it sounds like you need to invest like, 10-20 minutes into your morning prep. I'll stick with my electric-done in 97 seconds flat.

I like this thread.

I will invest in a proper razor once I finish uni and need to look presentable.

At the moment however I use clippers to trim my chin and a 4 bladed razor with disposable head to shave my cheeks neck and mo. It's a gilette of some sort. Has a "Precision" blade on the back.

I look forward to more Classy as Fuck infothreads.
Good...good. I'm already planning new ones. I've got suits, alcohol and maybe ballistic gel?

I have an uncle who shaves this way and has been trying to get me to do it for a while now, this will help. Great OP.
Like the title too, this could be an awesome series, keep it up!
