Tbh guns are never elegant, takes no skill to shoot someone, any idiot can do it.

Swords and wrists blade/fist weapons however...now those take skill. Fist weapons not s much but more than a gun. Swords more but lose elegance points due to the blantant nature of the kill. Wrists blades however, require a considerable amount since it takes a lot skill to determine the proper timing to deploy your weapon and conceal it without anyone knowing, it alo takes skill to place it properly for maximum damage. And the elegance factor is immense because if done properly you can get quite far before anyone realises it was you.
It doesn't take skill to perforate somebody at 10-feet with a submachine gun or semi-automatic pistol, sure. But have you actually tried shooting fowl or deer with a single-action weapon?

Or have you ever seen Enemy at the Gates? Sniper hunting is an art: a game of wits, two men, supremely skilled in their art, trying to catch the other slipping up first. They could be hours away, or just down the street, but once you have your moment, it is the most beautiful thing in the world.

It may be beautiful but its go not style or elequence since theres no proper danger about it. It's a method of one slip and your dead. It's....a waiting game. Basically whos the better coward. Sure sniping takes skill but simply because of the distance involed, that same distance makes it boring. Theres honestly no fun in shooting someone from miles away and the game ending with 1 shot. Where as close quarters combat is much better, there can be more slip ups, more chances to be countered and re-countered. More chances for the actually FIGHT to last much much longer.

It condenses the essence of a battle into but a single moment. Sniping is to swordfighting what Impressionism was to Romanticism: an outgrowing, an evolution, a brand new movement making bold strokes towards perfection. A sword fight, a fight at melee range is brutal, long and messy. Skill can be beaten by sheer brutality and simple dogged perseverance, while a bullet to the head is final. A statement, the hand of God himself picking you off the Earth.

And boring? Snipers have to stay moving. To stay still, to stagnate is death. A good sniper knows to find a good vantage point, an excellent sniper knows that no vantage point is perfect. Hence the whole "cat-and-mouse" theme: both men are hunters, and at the same time hunted.

Hate to do this but just in case it hasn't been pointed out the Sword Cane thing.

Sword Cane actually functions as blade and baton.
...and is handy for long walks!

The art of murdering somebody is generally something you can't do without looking like a barbarian. Yet there are some weapons with which you can kill somebody and still appear to be sophisticated and elegant.

So what weapon do you think has the most class?
WITHOUT A DOUBT, it has to be a powerful blow to the temple with a... let me get back to you

To all you "knifies" out there, anything less than 7 inches is wrong, it is barbaric.
All swords = Classy, honourable and respectable.
