badass trenchcoat cliche. Probably started by sephiroth or at least made poplar by him, the badass trenchcoat will never stop being cool in my eyes.

Quirky miniboss squad.

A group of super powered killing freaks, each with their unique talents and personalities, who are all devoted to wrecking the hero's day. Or maybe not so devoted in some cases, that's fun too. Bonus points for showing how they interact with each other, whether they see themselves as comrades or would gut each other at the drop of a hat.

The Javelin Glitch from MW2. Really made you think about pulling that trigger, especially in hardcore.

How is that a cliche?

Seriously thought it said "glitch" not "cliche". That really doesn't fit. My bad.

In that case, I don't really like cliches, or the idea of them, but sometimes they are necessary.
