I'd like to see where Tim Burton would have taken the Batman films had he been allowed to make more. Selina Kyle was still alive obviously and, Harvey Dent was still Harvey Dent and as of Batman Returns he wasn't yet recast ie: Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face could have been one of the two villains used in the third potential Batman film.

I would have liked to have watched the intended X-Men 3 film, not the one Ratner shat out.

I mean,

I just killed the entire greek pantheon (except for the slutty part), brought forth the apocalypse, stabbed myself in the gut and somehow, I am still alive ?

What is next ? Stop giving me origin stories and family stories and crap. I want the next chapter !
That would also be nice. Of course it could just be the gateway towards God of War: Roma or whatever they call it when they add in the Roman pantheon of Gods.

I totally second this.

Hey bro, I actually liked it.
I feel bad for the studio, and was genuinely interested in the plot. Maybe it's because of my predetermined love for anything pertaining to Norse mythology but still, the idea was pretty damn cool at its center.

We're playing through periods of a continent's history - there's not going to be any grand conclusion to that aspect.
Except the entire meta-story hidden behind that.

Tamriel is built upon, and kept stable, by magical towers each of which has been destroyed throughout the games becuase the actions of the heroes in those games.

Brass-Tower was destroyed in Daggerfall
Red-tower was disabled in Morrowind
White-Gold tower was disabled in Oblivion
Crytsal-Tower was destroyed off camera during Oblivion
Snow-Tower was disabled sometime during Skyrim

The entire world has been coming apart because the magical forces that hold it up have been destroyed or disabled.

In their quest to save the world from some great evil the heroes of the Elder Scrolls games have been systematically smashing the very pillars that hold up the world itself.

Elder scrolls series lore write Micheal Kirkbride has confirmed this is all leading to something.
I understand what you're saying with all those rumours but it's pretty far-fetched.

I mean like trying-to-stop-hotglue-when-the-trigger-is-taped-down kind of stretched.

I'm pretty sure the Brass Tower is still up and the Snow-Tower wasn't even touched.
And the White-Gold Tower is still in use.

It'd still be pretty awsome though if it was true.

KotOR 2 had an open ending. Not a cliffhanger, but a proper sequel would have been nice.
Ok yeah it wasn't a cliffhanger, but they left a mighty truckload of unresolved plot threads.
I would definitely love to know what Revan's been up to. It doesn't help the plot was eerily similar to late Dune novels, and they didn't get resolved either.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Book_of_the_Dragonborn
When misrule takes its place at the eight corners of the world
When the Brass Tower walks and Time is reshaped
When the thrice-blessed fail and the Red Tower trembles
When the Dragonborn Ruler loses his throne, and the White Tower falls
When the Snow Tower lies sundered, kingless, bleeding
The World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn.

The snow tower is described as sundered kingless and bleeding, the dis-unity of the Nords caused it to go offline.

White-Gold tower physically still stands, but its stone, the amulet of kings is gone forever, causing it to be offline.

What are the Stones?

The Stones are magical and physical echoes of the Zero Stone, by which a Tower might focus its energy to mold creation. Oftentimes, the Stones borrowed surplus creation from Oblivion, grafting it to the terrestrial domain of its anointed Tower.

The Tower of White-Gold, whose Stone is Chim-el Adabal, Amulet of Kings, whose masters are returning. I speak of course of the Ayleids, for which "sometimes" was not good enough.
Without the Amulet of Kings White-Gold tower no longer has the ability to mold creation and hold up the world, the building itself can still be used as a building, but its magical powers are gone.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Rising_Threat
I stood transfixed as the heart of my homeland was torn as if from my own breast. The unthinkable, the incomprehensible... the tower of Crystal-Like-Law cast to the ground, with all the dignity of a beggar meeting an iron-clad fist. An eternity I watched, trying to reconcile what I knew with what I saw.

I want to see the Legacy of Kain series resolved. I won't get my hopes up or a new entry or even a reboot, especially since Tony Jay passed, but some Word of God on the subject would be nice.

Same here for me, but pretty sure that ship has sailed now....although :http://shogungamer.com/news/13631/legacy-kain-could-finally-be-coming-back-rumor

so who knows, hopefully it will be the next chapter rather then a reboot.

The World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn.

The snow tower is described as sundered kingless and bleeding, the dis-unity of the Nords caused it to go offline.

Also, as I said before, each tower is powered by a stone, removing the stone causes the towerr to stop working.

White-Gold tower physically still stands, but its stone, the amulet of kings is gone forever, causing it to be offline.
Okay so that leads to "The World-Eater wakes, and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn."

Which already happened. And we did it.

And these causes don't make sense. I solved the disunity of Skyrim, killed Alduin, and relit the Dragon-Fires (indirectly).

And the prophecy of alduin;s return is just another part of a larger prophecy, just as the prophecy of the Nerevarine was part of Aldin's prophecy.

Also, you solved all of those things AFTER snow tower and Alduin returned, it was too late by then.

furthermore you didn't relite the Dragonfires at all, they are out forever, it takes the amulet of kings to relight them.

You are also beginning to see how rediculous this is right?

A prophecy of a prophecy for another prophecy??

I'd rather just take the word of the actual game and iterate on that than what's implied on a wiki page.

What? Beyond good and evil is a cliffhanger? Ugh- that just sapped a lot of my desire to play it now. Games should never do cliffhangers on fisrst games for an IP- they just can't guarantee they'll be able to finish the story.

Same thing happened to XIII
Well the games central plot finishes, you resolve the issues you set out to fix early in the game, so it is self contained as far as that goes. It's mainly a brief after credits cutscene that raises questions. The game was great enough to warrant a sequel anyway, but when you see that last little flash, you really want to know what it means for the main characters. That said if you haven't played it I highly recommend it, it is available cheaply on Good Old Games.

I would rather take the words of the developers, who have said all the games are building up to a larger event, over anything else.

I would pay an arm and a leg to get some kinda conclusion to Reboot. *Spoilers* The show ends with Megabyte returning from the web, taking over the main base, converting some key characters into his virus drones, talking all big and bad about getting some payback, and that's it! It seems really unlikely there will be a conclusion, now that the actor who played Megabyte, Tony Jay, died.

I thought the series ended with Hex sacrificing herself to purge the entire internet from some super virus thing?

Or was that before? I forget.

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.

Of the two main characters, one is injured, chucked into a swamp, presumed dead or nearly so, while the other is in a coma.
This was my first thought when I read the thread title. I'm hoping now that The Secret World is out Funcom and Ragnar Tornquist might get around to completing the trilogy. Normally I wouldn't get my hopes up, but I just can't help myself this time around. I still remember how excited I was when I read the announcement on the official site that "hell has indeed frozen over" and The Longest Journey was getting a sequel. Leaving it as a cliffhanger now just seems so wrong.

That was part of the Daemon rising story line, My two Bobs and the return of Megabyte was right after. They're both part of season 4 storyline.

admittedly its been so long since I've seen the show I forgot.

I vaguely recall hearing ages ago they made a comic or something set after the final episode?

Agreed, but I remember hearing that Square enix (they own the IP) is doing a reboot of Soul Reaver, so things could change. I would be fine with that, if the last story could just be resolved.
