Look me and my friend were talking about COD4 recently, we ended up talking about part 2, the all ghillied up missions, and he says u cant shoot kamarov in the head with the .50 cal, and that he comes back in the end of the game, where u r on the bridge. For some reason i can distinctly remember getting a headshot, i may be wrong, but i was jw. Anyone know the answer to my predicament?

Pretty sure that no matter wherever you see your bullet hit the effect is the same, his arm flying off and him falling to the ground.

Lets put it this way. If you were able to pull off that headshot, then it would be the only mission in the whole game.

In other words, no.

It doesn't matter what you get, the game tells you that you hit him in the shoulder no matter what... He doesn't have an arm in the other parts...

And yes he does come back.

No matter what you do, the bullet curves (just like MacMillain warns) and hits him in the arm.

I got a head shot off of him. Though i admit it was a one time thing. I just shot in any direction and the wind moved my bullet into his brain, then his arm exploded. I got my revenge though. 7 pistol rounds to the skull baby. Or more or even less, i don't remember.

No, you didn't. The game doesn't let you, it automatically curves the bullet into his arm. No exceptions, it's scripted.

My friend got a head shot off on him, so maybe to the scripting was added in an update.

This isn't just based on his word either, I was watching him. To make it even funnier it was his first time playing the mission, so he was upset when he was informed that he "blew his arm off".

It's scripted so that you can't kill him with a headshot. His arm blows off instead.

Think about it, if you could kill Zachaev outright in the "One Shot, One Kill" mission then the story would fall to bits.

Price, Gav, Soap and the rest of the gang and bumping around Eastern Europe searching for Al Asad. When they finally find him Zachaev calls Asad's mobile. Price answers, says "Didn't I shoot you in the face 15 years ago?", Zachaev says "Oh bugger, you're right!", hangs up and the SAS get home in time to watch the Cricket. Brilliant.

EDIT: There, I fixed up the Kamarov/Zachaev thing. Now you can stop quoting me about some mixed up names.

The first time I played Half Life the scientists wanted me to put the sample in the giant machine. I didn't, so Gordon and Barney went and had a bear. I tell you Half Life 2: Gordon does his tax returns was really dull.

I liked the 4th level, with the pencils and the letter opener, ahhh, good times.

It was dull? How could a story about a security guard and a physicist owning a bear for a pet be dull.

No matter where you hit him, it only takes his arm off because it is part of the story.

As if it hasn't been said enough, no, you can't get a headshot because the bullet is scripted to blow off his arm.

Are you sure? I think i know what i might have possibly seen. But i'll take your word for it because i don't care. I still got him at the end though.

Church?! Is that you???

Anyways, even if you had just barely nicked his toe, his arm would still fly off. The question is, then, how many other people did you kill with the .50 before they were all able to pack up and leave?
