Title says it all. I just love coffee. So much. I might be a student but I still buy the good stuff. What I am currently drinking costs about 7 pounds for a bag (Thats about 10 dollars) and I refuse, flat out, to ever buy instant. Just... Yeah, I want to here other people sing coffees praises. Or go on about how they hate it.

With all of the anger flowing around the site right now "Sim City Raped My Child" and "Anita Sarkeesian is the Antichrist who steals money from people to buy cars!" along with the background levels of rage, I thought it would be a good idea to throw something innocuous into the mix.

Just a thread about loving coffee.

I would elaborate but I am going outside to enjoy a lovely cup of coffee with soy milk and a cigarette. Before you think I am a vegan or something, nope, I just like soy and I cannot drink milk cause it makes me ill. Plus even for you milk drinkers out there, Soy milk tastes AMAZING in real coffee. Seriously, go try it. But don't try and put it in instant, it curdles horrifically if you do and that just aint pleasant.

Captcha: Tea with Jam. Fuck you captcha, I will drink coffee when I eat jam!

Which reminds me, Jam is AMAZING. I mean, I have this strawberry and chili mix and it just tastes fantastic on crumpets or toast.

Life is awesome.

EDIT:

Just a quick thing. Post happy music guys (And gals) I want to keep this good mood rolling.

Coffe is awesome, though one should not try to substitute water with Red Bull.
Just don't do it guys, it's a bad idea, a really bad idea, so don't.

Now, I do hope that I got at least some of you to try it, if you did, welcome to the secret ruling class, our telepathic conference will begin shortly, you will be able to hear my thoughts.

To everyone who did not try this:
Please ignore these incoherent ramblings of a madman whose sanity was claimed by the demons of the abyss.

I really do like coffe though, especially with nothing but milk. Real Milk, for Real Men that is.
And during the semester, I usually drink up to two litres of good ol' Joe.

Also, have a video:

And now I shall fly to the moon fueled by the energy burst red bull coffee gives me.
First the moon, then the universe.

Liked the song, love your insanity. I take that song and I raise a classic happy song

And my old mediation song.

Also, as for disgusting coffee mixes? I used to habitually add a tea bag to instant coffee.

Now the mere thought of it makes me want to vomit.

And as for quantities of coffee drunk? I drink it by the pint. According to the thing on the side of my coffee machine I have had 10 cups so far today. That will do me.

EDIT:

Also, here is my favourite lyrics. Lyrics that just remind you to be happy.

Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings,
About fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings,
And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering,
And help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live.

After all the loving and the losing,
For the heroes and the pioneers,
The only thing that's left to do
Is get another round in at the bar.

Oh God, why would you do such a horrible thing?
Instant coffee with tea bags? For shame Mr. F, for shame. I would have thought you above drinking Instant Coffee. And I want a 19 word essay about what you have done there and why it is wrong. I expect it until the day after last sunday.

And please do keep in mind that the sides of coffee machines can not be trusted. According to the side of my coffee machine, I drink about 16 cups a day, when really it feels more like 6.
Maybe I should just get a smaller cup.
Or stop drinking one extra for the voices. One for each voice that is.

Oh, and I do like me some Jam to go with my coffee, preferably in the form of a toasted PBJ sandwhich.
Nothing like a toasted PBJ and coffee to start a day.
Except maybe for a toasted PBN (Peanut Butter Nutella) or a toasted N and coffee.
In times of need, just coffee will also do.

But in order to stem the tides of sanity knocking at my door, I shall end this with two great videos:

and my current favourite song:

To be fair, though, I don't drink as much coffee as I used to.

Shit I drink is apparently from Harrods. Sold in a shitty chain store, but it has that on the side. From some coffee company that has royal ascent or some shit. I don't care.

In my eyes there is no point in skimping out on coffee. The better stuff is just so fucking worth it, even if you are only drinking one or two cups a day.

Seriously, these days I live on caffeine and nicotine. I really do not know what I would do without it.

Yup, I love coffee, go out for coffee once a week. Don't like Starbucks, I much prefer Costa. Vanilla Latte, motherfuckers!

Also, I thought you were talking about Jam the book, which is also amazing.

Oh, and one last thing, for the record, I love Anita Sarkeesian. I spent all of yesterday watching Feminist Frequency and in defiance of moodyness I ordered a custom made T-shirt with "Yay Feminism" on the front and a list of the tropes she mentions on the back... It's beautiful.

I've never liked coffee, but it does smell pretty nice.

I suppose it's just as well that there are plenty of music suggestions because I can't think of any specific "proper" music tracks to suggest. When in doubt: Katamari On the Rocks.

I hate coffee. Everything about it. The smell, the taste, the fact that it's EVERYWHERE. I've never liked it, and I don't think I ever will. I wish coffee never existed.

As for happy songs, well...

Not to rain on everyone's parade, but I seem to find a lot of people talk about coffee in the same manner that people (at least here in London where I live) talk about alcohol. As in, they stroke their own ego about discovering the "the best coffee shop in the world" and how they won't touch certain brands, musing that instant is like drinking dirty water and will label you ignorant if you drink cheap coffee.

You get this kind of talk in a lot of pubs about beer and other drinks too, but it seems to be a trend now for younger people to brag about coffee and associated types/brands. Perhaps London has it bad what with hipster subculture everywhere.

On a more positive note, I don't particularly mind coffee, but it's rather too strong for my taste (nice smell though), so I tend to stick to tea. Plus the caffeine really messes me up, I get pretty shaky and pseudo-stressed, like tonnes of adrenaline is flowing in me. Then I'll hit a low afterwards and feel really tired, and this can be just from one cup of black coffee. The additives in de-caf put me off, so sadly I can't drink coffee very often, only when I'm really tired already.

Does everyone go through that, and just get used to the caffeine? I've always wondered.

Coffee is awesome.

Didn't have time to read the thread just had to confirm the subject.

Now im going to gather up colleagues for a mid afternoon coffee run to the local coffee shop, disguised as a planning sessh.

I prefer Peets Garuda blend, ground fresh, and brewed in a french press. The coffee is then placed in a pitcher and refrigerated overnight, and decanted over ice with a touch of cream for the best iced coffee on earth.

I think coffee tastes like crap. Tea on the other hand...

...also tastes like crap.

Soda is my drug and I don't care who knows it.

EDIT:Here is my contribution to the music collection.

Coffee is what keeps most people alive (Or, better said, not murdered)

Don't disturbed me with annoying shit in the morning if i haven't had my first cup. I will not be friendly.

Also i feel that this is important.

I don't mean to bother you, but I really don't know why you felt the need to come into a thread titled "Coffe It's just awesome" in order to tell us that you don't like coffee.
Given that there are a lot of people out there who don't like coffee, why would you feel the need to enter a thread which tells you it's about something you very much dislike in the very title?
Do you regularly go to starbucks, stand in line and tell the Barista that you WON'T be having coffee there because you dislike it?

I mean the OP clearly said that this was supposed to be a happy, positive thread, so couldn't you instead comment on your favourite jam or whatever?

Sure, it's your right to comment in any thread whatsoever and share your opinion on every subject, still seems like a strange thing to do.
Kinda like going into a "think-happy-bunny-fluffy-thoughts" thread and go on about how, during the making of this thread, approximately 4 chidlren died of cancer and 7 of AIDS.

EDIT: Forgot the happy song:

And i'm more of a tea person myself. I just don't like the taste of coffee in general

Look here, dude. TC said coffee was awesome and wanted people to post happy songs. I countered by saying coffee was not awesome, but still posted a happy song. My post was legit, after all, what good is a thread where everyone just automatically agrees on the same thing? I don't like coffee. Plenty of people don't. Maybe I felt that the coffee haters weren't being represented well enough in this thread. But now you've gone and drawn attention to the fact that my and Talaris' posts were in disagreement with TC and accusing us of pointlessly derailing the topic, when in fact YOU'VE pointlessly derailed the topic by making it, instead of about coffee, about the content of my post. So why did YOU feel the need to do THAT?
