True. We look at the world, then decide what to believe. You decide what to believe, then fit it into the world.

You really believe that's what religion is about? Fundamentalist monotheism, maybe, but the implication that religious folks have turned our brains off in service of our gods is both ignorant and completely at odds with reality.

The irony of your argument is hilarious - you critsize religious people for speaking with too much authority on something they can't know to be true, and yet you do the exact same thing. You don't know that souls or gods don't exist anymore than I do know they exist. You said it yourself, you are pretty damn arrogant.
