Some people have just very odd beliefs that they hold true, no matter what. I knew a guy that would argue against anyone that black people could run faster because they had an extra leg muscle.
Not really. Kenyans can keep up their initial burst of speed longer because of increased lung capacity though. They live at higher altitudes than most people so their lungs adapt. A lot of athletes spend time in pressure tanks now to get the same effect. Interestingly enough, higher altitude also means thinner air, which is the reason why so many jumping records were broken at the 1968 Mexico Olympics.

But I digress.

Your sister be tripping.

When are people going to realize that nothing is ever true of every member of a race/religion/country?
Not true.

Every black person is black and every white person is white, right?

Shallow differences, but differences nontheless.

:)

Generalizations like that are just plain stupid. Just mention Tiger Woods and move on.
Yeah, I wonder how she'd react if you mentioned that guy.

Has she just had bad experiences with white boyfriends or something?

Loyalty=Melanin?

It entirely depends on the person, its stupid to clump a bunch of people together based on something as superficial as their skin colour.

That is faulty reasoning. "All the white men I've dated have cheated on me, but all the black men I've dated have been faithful. Therefore, all white men must cheat and all black men must be faithful." That is a faulty argument.

So... you wanted to show a bunch of people your sister is ignorant and racist? Or did you expect that there would be a debate about it?

Yes, what she thinks is racist, but honestly, if the only consequence of her thoughts is that she won't date white men, then let her think it. It's not like she's committing hate crimes or something. People, all people, hold at least one or two things true which even they themselves may realize are not. So long as it's not hurting anyone else in any significant way, let them think it.

my brain just twitched a bit
It depends on the individual whether they would be faithful in a relationship not an entire race.
I know so many guys who have cheated in relationships including guys of colour. so what the hell?

There is no genetic basis for race. I understand that you mean that either one or both of his parents were "black," but obviously, his parents also held the genes necessary for him to have the skin color he does. So, really, because he has "white" skin, you could just as easily call him white as you can black.
