Come on Escapist... Too Much?

I was just watching the Kane and Lynch Zero Punctuation, with an advert video at the beginning. Not a problem, I can wait 20 seconds for the video.

Only problem was, half way through the video, ANOTHER 20 second advert appears over my video!

Err, Escapist? You're interrupting viewing now? What the...?

Has anyone else experienced this? Perhaps some ploy to get PC members?

-shrugs- my Pub Club membership pays off again. Although, I hope that they don't do that. Even if I don't have to experience it myself, that's really annoying. I think that if they start doing that then they're going to lose viewers. People may put up with an ad at the start of a video, but an ad part way through a video is beyond annoying.

I'm annoyed at the one advert anyway. Why everytime I click on a video do I have to see an advert? They're everywhere! There's even occasional ones on youtube too, and they annoy me.

Just let me watch the video already! D;

Never had exactly that, but I have had similar experiences. Very often, the 20 second adverts don't play for me, meaning I can't watch any videos at all - refreshing the page brings up the same advert.

And if I'm lucky enough to not get the mandatory 20 second adverts, the "in-skin advertising" thing or whatever its called (the one that shrinks the video player and has advertisements around the edge) completely clogs up my computer, so the video ends up being a choppy mess.

I've only experienced this when I pause the video while and then keep playing, the same advert plays twice. But whatever, they need money to keep the site running and I'm getting free entertainment so I can't complain.

It's never happened to me, but this is pretty much my opinion. I'm getting free entertainment out of it, and hey, at least you can mute it.

Pub club was so cheap, I can't even remember what unimportant sum I paid to enjoy Escapist content smug in the knowledge that I'd contributed something more than my own meandering opinion. Not to mention no ads!

That said, I've never had that problem. Probably a glitch on your part.
