People seem to be adding things they say when they get a kill, I prefer a hearty, Dave Schappelle-like "In Your Face!!!" Also, I will always game in fps with a pistol, I am reluctant to use other guns, even if theres ammo for it everywhere, i must expend the pistol first. Oh, and if a mate comes around while I'm playing and has a go at the game, I die a little on the inside when he wastes ammo, I worked hard to conserve that shit.

I *can't* use ammo if there's an unlimited ammo weapon around. In Megaman, I always used the mega buster, in Serious Sam, I always used the twin pistols, etc. I got it from my brother.

In Oblivion, I dedicated different containers in my house to carefully organized storage. A crate downstairs for weapons, a nearby barrel for arrows, an armoire upstairs for enchanted clothing, a bureau for armor, and a chest near the bed for special "memory" items - unique items like the handcuffs your character starts the game with, a set of Mythic Dawn robes from the first assassin you meet, leftover turpentine from the paint quest, the ring Vicente gives you, etc.

Additionally, my first time through, I had a downright obsession with stealing keys. My character had pickpocketed every NPC in the game, and stolen every possible key, and opened every possible door.
I did the same thing. I bought every house in the game, organized it, stored the keys there by town in case my character dropped by.

My biggest habit: the stealth character. Regardless of format, if there is a stealthy, sneaky sort...I'm playing him.

In COD4, I will always try and take out the support chopper, and it really pisses me off when someone shoots me cos I'm pointing at the sky. Is it just me that thinks we should all stop fighting and focus occasionally. Plus, I hate it when my opponent forfeits a cage match just because I'm better than them...

Rather than an in-game habit, it is something I do while gaming. When on my computer, I sit with my stomach against the back-rest, and my feet against the back of my head. Not constantly, as I can feel the strain on my various joints and organs, but every once in awhile.

Keep in mind I can't bend over and touch my toes.

In RTS games against the CPU, I only ever attack with a very superior force.
In RTS games on the internet, I religiously follow Sun Tzu's Art of War. "I'm a bit bigger than them. Part of my forces pincer, the rest attack head on", "I'm twice as big. All head on!", "We're equal. I will avoid them", etc.
In RTS games, I tend to build all my passive-gain resource buildings (power plants, farms, etc) in neat lines at the very back of my base.
RTS games again. If a plan goes off smoothly, I laugh like a villain. "Muhahahahahaaa!"

FPS games. I reload constantly. Fucking constantly. Kill an enemy? RELOAD! Fire a few bullets at someone who ran off? RELOAD! I hate not having a full clip, and FPS games that won't let me do the "magic reload of not losing bullets from it" thing annoy me.
FPS games. Absolute refusal to use sniper rifles unless it's single player. This is a "do unto others" thing, really, because I consider anyone who camps in multiplayer games a cowardly jerk who's too stupid to actually play the game and prefers to just stay in one place and get easy kills because the game's level designers were fucking morons. This does NOT count if it's really justified (IE: Capture the Flag or mission-based levels when you defend your objective). Only in DM or TDM. But even if I play CTF, I won't use sniper rifles. So it counts as a strange habit.

3rd person games: If it's not slower than just plain running, I will jump, roll, whatever I can, aside running normally. No reason whatsoever, really. If it DOES make it faster, at least I feel good. (Like LoZ:OoT and side-hopping) Mostly I do it for no reason though.

Horror Games: Extremely constant reloading. Makes my constant FPS reloading look silly. Yes, this even goes for early Resident Evils where you only ever reloaded in the menu. I kill a zombie? Menu reload! Even worse since I could (and would) do it when there were multiple zombies around, still walking.
My complete hatred for having any injury whatsoever counts too. In an RE game, I've been known to use First Aid Sprays when my HP reaches yellow. (Even worse in RE4, where I'd use green herbs if I even got a tiny nick from a ganados)

In Half-Life 2, I nod at the NPCs whenever they say something I agree with. As in I actually move the mouse up and down in a nodding motion.

"You made it!"
*nod*

Hey, Gordon Freeman doesn't talk, so I figure he may as well nod.

Also, I'm a bit of a neat freak in real-life, so in addition to placing all structures in neat and orderly rows while base-building; I even go so far as picking up scattered loose objects and placing them on shelves (in games like Half-Life 2), and taking off again to give it another try if I land my helicopter off-center on the landing pad (in Operation Flashpoint).

I also refuse to kill green things. This became a slight problem in RO.

When I'm playing any type of 3rd person game (be it action, adventure or a shooter) there is always a moment where I just stop running and instead I walk by slightly pressing the analog stick forward (specially in towns or inside buildings) because I keep saying to myself "you're character must be very tired from all this running about".

In RTS' i have to place everything perfect, if i have just built a building that cost 10 000 000 pound i would destroy it and build it again in the correct place, all my base defences have to be in all the choke points and i frequently set up ambush groups.

On Command and Conquor the Tiberium series i will always build two Tiberium harvest stations next to each other, naturally neatly alligned with a road, with a small space big enough for 2 silos. On Tiberium Sun i built massive complex bases using walls and turrets, each section of base will connect to different districts, for example: The resource district will be well fortified as it is a main target, not as if the enemy is smart enough to know this and would connect to the command district which will contain the radar and the construction yard, next to this will be the technology district followed by the military district. My bases often take up half the map lol.

I make some of the best Age of Empire maps because i have a dispicable attention to detail, my maps wouldnt just have trees and stone and gold there would be detailed mines and aztec scenery with small faded bloodstains on the floor and grass stumps, all evenly placed for that oh-so asthetic feel.

Dont even get me started on Oblivion!

ok if im on my laptop i MUST have my legs up on the desk
RTS games i only ever send around groups of the same units type
COD4 whenever someone shoots me from what looks to me like round a corner i watch the killcam and laugh saying "ohhh yea of course my mistake.."
i cant just tap grenade throw buttons i have to wait till the pin in pulled at least before i let go
reload obsession (problem when using LMGs in CoD4)
also any game where you can move or look around during a cut scene i will either pace or look around
everytime i get on a chopper in COD4 singleplayer i try to find my characters legs...but all you ever see is the seat your sitting on!!

When I'm playing a turn-based strategy, I will make up voices for characters or leaders, such as in Medieval II Total War or Galactic Civilisations II. It gives the game a sense of depth beyond the spreadsheet interfaces.

When playing FPS games, I also share the obsession with reloading. In Deus Ex, I would reload for the sake of reloading, even though my gun was full.

In RTS games, I can be good at rushing, but I hate doing it. What's the point in a game that only lasts 3 minutes?

Save a lot (Zelda's and metroid's) and reload a lot (Halo)
Also, in Halo, when I start an online game, I shoot a few bullets(and then reload) or throw granades and I like to ''help my team from above'' with a sniper (I imagine that they must freak out when they are getting killed and then a sniper saves them, or annoyed because the guy they were killing was killed by a sniper)
When i'm bored and play GTA, I like to be good a guy driving safely and slow but when someone crashes me (or I crash that's what happens most of the time) the good guy goes crazy and do stupid things around the city.
And in Metal Gear I just get the guards attention while invisible or put some c4 on their backs (again, when i'm really bored)

Well, my only real obsession is playing Team Fortress (the first one) on friendly fire servers.
Because I like playing the spy, and there is no greater compliment for a spy then watch the other team tk each other because it may be your chracter.

On other FPS's I enjoy sniper hunting. especially if it's against a good sniper that moves between shots. If it's a camper it's just fish in a barrel.

In multiplayer red alert, I was the jerk that builds an entire base out of decoy buildings, then defends it long enough to pull most of an assault force at it, then my attack goes out.

When I'm at a part of the game where I died last time, or don't have any idea what's going to happen next, I save rapidly every few steps. I also sit on a large pile of pillows while playing.

I have to admit that I also game nude sometimes. It didn't turn out well for me when I first played Bomberman Live and my live vision cam was plugged in. o_O
