Hiya escapists.

Time for another round of Asking the community trivial and/or slightly creepy questions.

Entry #1 in a recent cracked.com article [http://www.cracked.com/blog/4-things-you-shouldnt-do-with-internet_p2/] reminded me of something.
Namely that I, as a child, experienced some... attraction to Nala and/or Kiara from The lion king 1/2. Not sexual attraction mind you, I was too young for that. Romantic attraction was what I had going on if my memory serves me correctly.
Outside of this incident, I've never been attracted to animals, anthropomorphic or otherwise. So it seems sort of odd, thinking back.

So, escapists: Tell us stories of experiences of yours that conflicted with your ordinary sexual/romantic orientation.

I won't get into too much detail as i have made a thread about this in the advice board. But as a trans woman, i always saw myself as a lesbian. Over the last few months I have had a growing attraction to men, and most recently a extremely handsome, charismatic man has been giving me some attention, and he's always very sweet, and complimentary. Now i am totally confused. All I know if i dream about him in some seriously "adult" ways.

So, ya i'd say my sexuality is "evolving".

When I was 5 I proposed to my sister. I think I had just found out how the whole marriage deal works in 5-year-old terms (something adults do when they love each other), and it seemed reasonable. I loved my sister, and I had a 25 cent ring. So I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.

[sub]She didn't say no, btw.[/sub]

What a player. ;)

I... don't really have any conflicts of sexuality. I've always been quite reserved and shy about my sexuality and my attraction to women.

Although, there was a time in Year 9 or 8 where I had a few... somewhat homosexual thoughts about one of my friends and I pretended to play around sometimes with two of my male friends. That was a weird time... Looking back on it now i'm not entirely sure why I acted like that at all. Perhaps it was that infamous "Gay phase" that every guy apparently guys through that I keep hearing about, whatever that is.

I have strange feelings for Brad Pit and George Clooney thanks to the Ocean's movies. I make way too many jokes about how I am in a romantic relationship with my best friend. The only characters I've ever come up sit that a scantily dressed in any manner are male. I watched Hetalia.

Oh, man, I fell in love with animal characters all the time as a kid. When I was 5 I was in love with Splinter from TMNT. The live action version.

Phooooaarrr.

Well, the characters are played by humans, written as humans, when you're too young for sexual attraction to be an issue of course you're going to be drawn to the awesome ones, fur or no.

FTM trans, and I'll admit I used to have a thing for Throttle of the Biker Mice from Mars at one point. Anyway, been pretty much gay for 20 years then suddenly Scarlett Johansson. But seriously, I've liked guys all my life but lately I've realised that dominant women are a huge turn on for me.

Why is that?

I don't see the point of changing accounts especially as you freely admit you are the same person on both.
I felt like a change, woman's prerogative right? ;)

I self-identify as a predominantly heterosexual male, but I always seem to have homoerotic fantasies (especially late at night) that never seem to be as intense, for lack of a better word, to any of the gay porn (most of which being quite boring) I?ve occasionally watched on the internet. I did once look at a couple of pornographic pictures of a gay biker that really turned me on, so I just impulsively whipped out and jacked off. And I?ve found that I have a fetish for transvestites and forced feminization (I quite like looking at petticoat punishment) as well, as long as they can maintain that ?illusion?. I've found that penises can look just as appealing as vaginas.

I'm pretty sure I'm not gay or full-on bisexual, though. It always seem to take certain fetishization, strangely specific fantasies or some kind of feminization. If it's just a good-looking guy on his own, without any "kinks", then they just don't do anything for me. I wouldn't ever date one either.

And sometimes I look up Rule 34 stuff, both "4 teh lulz" and if there?s actually something arousing that?s worth looking at.

I'm flirty as Hell with certain people online and have had a lot of fun cybering with people...but the thing is, it's always text only due to my personal revulsion of the actual anatomy associated with sex. Maybe it's just because I haven't written anything in a long time...

Eh, having a crush on a furry character as a kid isn't that big of a deal.

You're not typically into them because "wow they're an animal, wooo bestiality!". You're looking at them that way because as a person watching a lot of Western cartoons, that happen to have a lot of anthropomorphic animals(I'm not sure why, but Japan has hardly any outside the obligatory Pom Poko or Hello Kitty, but the West has had a long standing tradition that Japan didn't pick up. I would have to guess that as much as we influenced Japanese animation, they still didn't take to things like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Tom and Jerry, as well as we did), people are going to relate heavily to these characters and create all sorts of weird bonds.

Think about it, people basically use cartoons full of furry characters as babysitting material for their children. For a lot of kids, they're practically friends and for only children, the closest thing they'll get to social interaction that day. They're recognizing them as a sapient human being as much as an animal. Of course some people are going to wind up attracted to them on some level.

People are so caught up on puberty and evolutionary psychology and homosexuality and heterosexuality and thinking of sexuality as this unchanging, unstoppable attraction to a tiny fraction of features unique to feminine and masculine, adult men and women who are clearly human, that everything else is "perverted". Completely ignoring how powerful personality is. I can understand more if people are directly seeking out that sort of thing like a lot of furries do.

But come on, if someone sees a human(sapient) personality, and becomes attracted to it, there's nothing weird about it at all. Being attracted to a human vegetable is a lot weirder and worrisome than someone attracted to a human animal.

I liked The Beast from Beauty and the Beast as a kid also liked Simba, And Thomas O'Maley from the Aristocats.
Though as an adult i have had no attraction to cats or any other kind of animal. Its the character traits that kids are attracted to.
