Is it wierd that I would find other hopefuls and teach them how to use their powers and of course how to use them wisely?
I would of course have to work out a way of using my powers to help fund my efforts so perhaps a weekend in vegas, Casino owners are pretty much legal criminals anyway so I wouldn't feel bad tricking them out of lots of money.

It's not weird. It's something I'd probably consider. All the people who are saying they would control the world are either joking, or extremely overestimate their own abilities. The amount of intelligence needed to single handedly rule the world is nonexistant.Ickorus said:

The obvious thing to do here is play 2 video games at once. Or browse the internet and play a video game. Or lift the remote without getting up. Maybe give my enemies a reason to fear me; a little asphyxiation never hurt anyone too bad. And if I did that, I'd get a lot of nerd credibility. And convince my teachers that I did my homework.

Unless there was a suitable threat to combat my new force powers I'd probably sith it up and go mad with power, not the dark creepy mad but the hysterical laughing mad.
I mean really if your going to get force powers you might as well have a counter balance or a threat to combat or go pants on head insane and enjoy it.
However before all this I would have to use The Force to win breakdancing competitions and force choke anymore who so much as mentioned midichlorians.

I'd probably be some notorious gambler and be corrupted by the powers of the force. Also I disagree with you that there wouldn't be a light/dark side right away. I'm pretty sure there'd be two force active people appearing at once since it always has to remain balanced.
Gather others like me, and begin recruiting/hiring PMCs and ex military, and when the world is on the brink of utter chaos I, in a fell swoop, take over the United States, North Korea, and Russia, and then conquer the rest of the world and lay the foundation of the Earth Empire!

when dealing with the Force the only limitation is ones understanding of the force, so if my understanding is total, everything dies, no one can stop me.
