No Internet! I DON'T want to by the newest gas-guzzling Mercadez-Benz, NOR do I want to know how a '50-year-old British Mom' looks like a 30-year-old, NOR do I want to buy '100% legal, full-of-nicotine' electronic cigarettes.

I Don't need Holidays.
I Don't need Cars.
I Don't need crazy Flash Adverts to sell something to me.
I Don't need to Buy something to feel better about my mental and social standing.

Films, Games, Charaties, ect. You are excused.

I do not WANT or NEED these things, my crappy halls-of-residence bandwidth can't take these fancy ads, I do not have a JOB to pay for these things (I am a student), so please kindly stop throwing them into my face.

We're done here.

Yours,
Oli.

Yeah, fight the system Tyler ! ;)

Sometimes i think about these, oh so close times of widespread Augmented Reality. I wonder what kind of commercials they'll launch against us. :|

Well you better work hard then to get a high paying job, to get a high interest loan, to buy a high class house, and a high class car to attract a high maintenance wife, that will accompany you to high class parties where you can talk to your high class friends about your high class possessions.

And if you managed all that without hanging yourself, then the joke is on you, money was never necessary to for your happiness :p

Consumerism only makes you unhappy if you can't afford it. Most people who complain about consumerism indeed can't afford it (like the OP who is a student). The minute they can actually afford all that stuff, a strange thing happens - they usually stop complaining.

So where does you put the likes of Ghandi, Christopher McCandlesss, Søren Kierkegaard??
