Alright, I've always been a PC gamer, and enjoy console games as well.
PC controls are better for a lot of Genres.
3D shooters, and Strategy games are easier with PC controls.

Puzzle games can be easier because of the mouse.

RPG's, Racing, Sports, Action, Adventure games, PC controls are not normally superior to console controls. Either one works fine.

Platformers are usually easier with a gamepad, so console controls are easier to use here.

Fighting games are easier with a gamepad.

Anybody who thinks they are a master at console shooter controls, play Combat Arms for 5 minutes. You'll adapt, but you will realize why 3D shooters are easier on a PC.

A lot of games though benifit from having mouse control.

Anyway, which do you prefer?

I have played on a controller since I was 6, so the keyboard is a cold unforgiving object that causes me to die whenever I play anything on it

PC for everything. I did recently get a PS3 however. There are some really fun games exclusively for the consoles so if you want to get those console's your best bet. Games like Rock band are more for consoles and if you want to watch Blu-Rays in decent quality, get a ps3 cause if you get a BD drive the quality is shit compared to the PS3. I used the same moniter for both and the ps3 bluray looks a lot better than the pc bluray. Graphically speaking, both have excellent visuals you just have to find the right game.

PC with everything except platforming (Uncharted style) and anything racing. Other than that PC curve stomps consoles with controls.

Combat Arms is hard as hell regardless. And the whole "buying guns but only keeping them for a few days" thing was probably why I don't play it anymore.

Console for life. I remember when it was Arcade VS. Console up until Consoles basically ate arcades, now they are doing the same thing with PCs. Name 10 PC exclusives in the last 3 years not counting bedroom programers.

Console games mainly. Although that said I don't mind PC controls either. It depends on the game I think, some games work better with console, and others with PC.

I use the keyboard and mouse for most games that need precise camera control, like shooters, and a gamepad for games that require precise movement like platformers and racers.

I like the console for most things, but shooters I sometimes play on the PC and RTS's I always play on the PC.

Seeing as controllers are ergonomically designed for playing games, I'll have to go with them.
However, I'd gladly give up console gaming, even if it meant never using a controller again.

It completely depends on what you need to do, but anywhere you need speed and precision, I prefer having a mouse.

It trully does depends on the game.
Shooters, MMOs, puzzles and startegy types have a better interface on PCs.
For pretty much anything else, consoles.

See, the beauty of USB ports is that they can allow use of BOTH keyboard/mouse and controllers, which is essentially why I like the PC.

Honestly...it doesn't matter. That is...as long as the game devs decided to make the controls practical or not. I've had good and bad experiences with both platforms, and in the end, all it comes down to is dev incompetance.

I find joypads more comfortable though, but then again, keyboards are the most ergonomic of things...

For me FPS and RTS computer, while sport and driving games feel better with a console controller. All the over genres have such a small difference it doesn't matter.
