Eldar. When you can rule the entire galaxy, and then become so perverted, you accidentally make a god of cumming to death, you know you're awesome.

Twi'lek...asari...wait, this isn't about the hottest aliens?

ok, as much as I like Eldar and other mysterious precursor aliens, I'm with da Orks from Warhammer 40k. They just don't give an rats ass about the mysteries of creation, politics, art, culture, etc. They just fight. And when they can't find other races to kill they start to kill each other and have the time of their lives. They show GRIMDARK the finger.

"Orkses is never defeated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

The Waaagh:"The occasion of a Waaagh is a cross between a mass migration, holy war, looting party and pub crawl, with a bit of genocide thrown in for good measure. Millions of battle-hungry Orks invade their target and stomp everything in their way flat. Just who is invaded is a matter of supreme indifference to the Waaagh. Battle is battle."

"The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude."

-by Uthan the Perverse, a controversial Eldar philosopher

The Sanghelli.
Damn it, beat me to the punch. But yes. The Sanghelli could have kicked the crap out of the Covenant years ago if they'd just managed to unite a few more alien races against the Prophets. IMHO of course.

I don't care if it's been said a million times, I like the Elites from Halo. The Yautja from Predator and the Turians from Mass Effect are awesome too.

I don't think anybody's said the symbiot's from spiderman though. Who wouldn't love having one of those? Venom and Carnage for the win!

I'm not sure if this counts, because I don't know where they came from, but the Orcs from Dawn of War.

GREEN IS BEST

If they don't count, the Krogans or the Batarians in Mass Effect seem like a suitable replacement.

Arg I am torn between the races in Mass Effect: Salarians, Turians and Krogan... There's so much history around them all.

I guess the Krogan because their past is so tragic, but they're still so destructive. You only meet one Krogan in the game that you don't kill, and that's Wrex. But even then... well... you know...

I love the Salarians though. Wish there was a permament squad member of them.

Plus, where are the female Turians? I know Asari are an only female race, but I didn't think Turians were only male...

The Necromorphs from Dead Space. Granted I've not encountered that many aliens in my videogame career, but I thought they were absolutely smashing.
Yeah I loved the Necromorphs in dead space. First of all I loved the dismsmberment thing, that was really clever and really fun. It felt realistic becasue if they are made from dead flesh convential methods of killing aren't going to work are they?
But honestly the reason I like them is because there's that whole thing about how their pure life form is this microscopic recombinant lifeform that then renaimates dead matter and resurrects and infects corpses and breathes new life into it. Mutanting it into new grotesque shapes. Becoming an actual living creature formed from a dead body and not just some zombie, but and actual living concious being that is driven by instinct to either infect more corpses, gather corpses or just make new corpses.
The reason I like them is because the way the game presents them, makes them feel so... real.
Like an alien life form like this could actually exist. It could! We could find some microscopic life form on an otherwise barren planet and study it and it could evolve and this could be the result.
That's what worries me.

Yeah they are fantastic aren't they?

Xenomorphs from the Alien saga (and therefore the Aliens vs Predator games). What else?!
