hmmm coolest alien race ehh.....well if it was going for comidy then the grunts from halo win me over with there well timed stupidity but going for cool I couldn't really say theres just too many.

Yes! The weiners! Ahhhh, never have I found an enemy as fun to murder as them. Run weiners! It won't do you any good!

Yep more on the subject of aliens, what do you think is the most awesome alien race in gaming. For me it is definetly the Elites in the Halo series, what's yours?
(note aliens must look as non human as possible)

I almost agree. I think the Hunters from Halo are even more awesome though.

A mix between Wermachtt, Stormtrooper and Darth Vader, can only be cool.

Umm. Didn't you already have a thread like this that was ALSO about aliens in games? Why not make a thread for each possible color for aliens. You can use the title "What is your favorite alien?" Yeah that'll get you some popularity.

As much as I love Protoss, Nautolans, Covenant, Necrons, Wookies, E.T. and even Draenei if they count. The Hooloovoo from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy takes the cake for most awesome alien race ever. What is it? A super intelligent shade of blue. Technically he's not from a game, but he deserves a mention.

The only hard part of Mass Effect is fighting Krogan Battlemasters.

Not when you have a Mk IX shotgun that fires corrosive rounds! I felt pretty sorry for Wrex as a massacred Krogan at his level of experience. It made me glad that I didn't end up fighting him. It would have been over in 2 shots.

Now that I think about it, there's only 1 race that I think is coolest above all.

Pretty much coolest Alien race ever conceived. Don't take the mask off though, don't want to see the Predator face.

It has to be the Xenomorph.

Generally, if ever you hear the background on alien species, they always display the characteristic of real world peoples, ie: Jews, Vikings, Japanese, Arabs etc, and they always look like humans in makeup, even in games.

The Xenomorph looked like Death Incarnate and had a plausible motive for killing, unlike most Sci-fi aliens.
