Coolest gun you've ever used in a game?

I would have to say the Railway Rifle.

The Farsight XR-20 from Perfect Dark comes to mind.
It is also the most broken weapon of all time.

I said the same thing, and I am surprised you were the first to mention it. I look back fondly on those day of playing Perfect Dark. If so much as one person got their hands on the Farsight, they could (and usually did unless they just sucked) go for the entire match without so much as a scratch and about 5 billion kills by the end of the 20 minute buzzer. Yes, the Farsight XR-20 is quite possibly the most broken gun in any game of all time. If there ever was a, "Win button," the Farsight was, and probably still is, it.

I've managed to lose memory of it's exact mechanics, but the only way to actually kill the guy with one was another Farsight,or somehow managing to sneak up on the guy, although I forget if it tracks the closest player or not. Hm.

Regardless, all you truly need to do with it is to find some place with readily available ammunition, find a place harder to get to, say, Felicity's ventilation shafts, get yourself a laptop gun to protect your back, and just camp the entire game. While I love the news of Perfect Dark XBLA, I just cringe for it being online.

Any gun in any Ratchet and Clank or Turok game, always something awesome and creative, but of my fav games my trusty magnum in Half life 2 and RE4, The mine dart launcher in RE4.

The Cerebral Bore in Turok 2 nothing is cooler than a drill that homes in on someone's head drills in a bit and then explodes.

This, ticks a lot of boxes this gun.

There's a game that has a gun that shoots landsharks... come on, a gun that shoots sharks that swim under the dirt then breach the surface and eat your enemies.... that's better then the shuriken and lightning gun and you know it.
