The Blackhawk from Fallout 3, with maxed out Small Guns skill, the Sniper perk and the Gunslinger perk.
You're unstoppable with that combo.
QFT, it's the only weapon I use against Deathclaws nowadays. Two or three shots to the head, done.

everything on board of the AC-130 in CoD4. Especially the big cannon that sends people flying off the map.

Do I only have to pick one??

Then it's probably Painkiller's unsung hero, the rocket launcher/chaingun. This weapon is, in most situations, considerably more effective than the infamously epic electrodriver. Its rockets have a good fire rate and just one of them can happily reduce a cluster of enemies to Unreal Tournament-style bodily chunks. The chaingun bit is the most accurate long-range weapon in the game, at least until the expansion, and deals out shedloads of damage.

Or possibly the AP SMG/flamethrower from the expansion. The SMG does more damage than the chaingun, even after its lower fire rate is factored in, and can rip through anything - hard enemies, tanks, you name it - with alacrity. The flamethrower is just gold. The effect is stunning, and sweeping it across a group of enemies ignites both them and the ground around them, creating a burning, dying mess that can ignite other baddies wandering into the vicinity. (And you, if you're not careful.)

Actually, no, sod it. It's Unreal Tournament's Enhanced Shock Rifle. Instagib, people! A gun that, every time it fires, hits its target instantly and - if said target is human - bodily disassembles them in a shower of blood. Not only that, but everyone has it. It makes the games faster-paced, more fun and more balanced. Win.

(Runner-up goes to UT3's Stinger minigun. It's three tri-barrelled rotary miniguns held in a rotary mount.)

BFG 9000...

my first post on the escapist
I don't know if I can call it my favorite, but I have an obsession with it.
I've always wondered what kind of weapon the BFG is... and does BFG really stand for "big fucking gun"?

Pandora in DMC4 is always nice. However the forms protrayed... I think that they're a little off with the numbers. I mean, the last form, nr. 666, it just flashes some light at the foes... meh.

The Huntsman is quite nice too (alhtough I don't have it yet).

But my all time fave gotta be Ethan's magic bracelts from Caster. It fires: Energy pulses, stunning lightning, auto targeting orbs, terrain deformation in two variants and can create a sheild that can be fired as a projectile for massive damage. Oh and it enables you to run super fast and jump awfully high.

The Cerebral Bore in Turok 2 nothing is cooler than a drill that hames in on someone's head drills in a bit and then explodes.
I Second that - And the boomerang of death.

Gauss lancher (i think - The laser cannon beast on the broken steel DLC on fallout three), Jabbawack on oblivion.

South Parks Cow launcher was right up there too!

Both of the weapons from Rachet & Clank you guys mentioned had similar predecessors in Turok: Evolution. It's anyone's guess as to which is a better game, but a gravity gun (not like the HL2 gun) that let you hold up dinosaurs with a tractor beam and smash them into things (and each other) is a winner in my book.
Also, the black hole generator had a looser Turok relative with the dark energy grenade which basically worked the same way
