Coolest gun you've ever used in a game?

I've honestly forgotten how many times I've described this weapon.

The Rail Driver from Red Faction. It was an instant-kill weapon that shot depleted uranium slugs through any material. It also came with an infrared scope that let you see enemies through enemies. Long story short, you could insta-kill enemies through frick'n walls.

Top that, "Gravity Gun".

I'll also go with the gravity gun. Especially in the last level of half life 2 where you can kill enemies by shooting their colleges at them^^

SVD Dragunov 7.62mm Sniper rifle in ArmA(Armed Assualt). I have used it to kill infantry at over 500+ meters and its deadly accurate.

I just quoted this because I'm REALLY glad to hear that someone else actually mentioned ArmA. That game never got the credit it deserved (despite some serious bugs on release). It's a great game!!!

The Farsight XR-20 from Perfect Dark!

It can shoot through the ENTIRE level!

The Farsight XR-20 from Perfect Dark comes to mind.
It is also the most broken weapon of all time.

I said the same thing, and I am surprised you were the first to mention it. I look back fondly on those day of playing Perfect Dark. If so much as one person got their hands on the Farsight, they could (and usually did unless they just sucked) go for the entire match without so much as a scratch and about 5 billion kills by the end of the 20 minute buzzer. Yes, the Farsight XR-20 is quite possibly the most broken gun in any game of all time. If there ever was a, "Win button," the Farsight was, and probably still is, it.

Ah yes the rail driver is awesome, If you have played RF:G it has been downgraded in damage. but it has a fast fire rate and shoots through walls making it deadly at long range as a sniper and close range as an assult weapon.

which would have been sweet, if the enemies didn't have the fucking thing too. I died about 20 times per level once that thing showed up because I didn't have the clairvoyance to spot the motherfucking sniper through 3 walls of concrete before the AI said my time limit of 5 nanoseconds within his attack radius was up. Once he was down, there was no more challenge to the game because the rest of the enemies can't fight back until you run out of rail gun ammo

Although it doesn't have the near-limitless possibilities of the portal gun, or the intrigue of the gravity gun, I have to say my favorite would have to be Armed and Dangerous' Land Shark Gun.

Few things can compare to the absurd, yet immensely pleasurable feeling that comes from shooting a shark into the ground, only to have it swim over to your foe and devour him in an over-exaggerated and hilarious manner.

My favorite gun wasn't in a game it was the caster. Wish it was in a game but alas. Best gun following you're guide lines would be Mandalorian ripper.

For the record, are you referring to the Caster's from Outlaw Star?
