If not him, then the Boss MGS3. Such a badass! Gets a caesarian in the middle of battle, kills her lover, disassembles guns mid-fight, kicks your ass multiple times (once with a mother flipping horse!), shoots you in the face and gives her life for her country. *Tearful salute*.

Were to begin.... a good villain has to be both powerfull and have style.. and a certain mistery...

Breen(HL2), G-Man(HL2), Vergil(DMC3), Atlas(WC3 and WoW), SHODAN(SShock), Revolver Ocelot(MGS and MGS3), Liquid (MGS and MGS4... kinda in MGS4 theres a whole theory bout it)... oh snap i cant remember of any more....

But in the end ill say Vergil... he is tremendously powerfull, and the coolest guy ever xD

Kratos. That guy kills all without question or hesitation.

Or Eight Ball from Armored Core. I wanted to recreate that AC so bad, he always showed up mocking you, then out-gunning and outmaneuvering you, and if you jumped in the series after the first game, you were left with the WTF how does he uses those items on that AC build without breaking weight restrictions, before learning you have to play the first one and suck it up to get kick-ass mode enabled as a pilot.

James from Silent Hill 2. Sure he's the protagonist, but everything from Maria and Pyramid Head to the monsters he fights and the town he explores are all creations of his guilty conscience. He really is his own greatest enemy.
