In all honesty, I'm actually more interested in the future for the 3DS than I am for the Wii U. The 2014 lineup for Wii U looks decent, but with all the game delays, and severe lack of 3rd party support, I sometimes forget the Wii U even exists. Nintendo has done almost nothing with the Gamepad so far despite some interesting concepts, The system is still lacking features the competition had for almost 7 years, and Nintendo isn't even making an effort to try and get actual 3rd party support like they are with the 3DS.
It's sad that a handheld has better 3rd party support and more features than a home console. Don't get me wrong, I still like the Wii U, but if Nintendo continues to not really care about it, and if they can't some heavy hitter stuff from 3rd parties next year, then the Wii U is just going to be yet another Nintendo output machine like the N64, GCN and to an extent the Wii. I think the 3DS will satisfy my Nintendo gaming for quite a while.
