So I just found out that the girl I've been in love with my entire life does not return my feelings. Now I feel worse than I have ever before and could use some encouraging words

OT: Do your best to find someone else to love. It's a shitty world, but we all gotta push through the crap to find happiness. I'm not so good with encouragement, but we've all had similar experiences, and we're all still breathing. I doubt you're going to be strutting into life with over-blown confidence because of my post, but hopefully I can help you survive the rest of today.

I've always stumbled across my girlfriends by chance. I don't think it's ever a good idea to date someone who is already established as a friend. Just go to some parties and start talking to girls.

The thing I've learned, is that whether it's a girl who doesn't like you back or an annoying foot fracture, you just gotta keep livin'. The girl might just be confused at the moment. Before I saw anything, maybe you should clarify more. How exactly have you been in love with her your entire life? Have you had her for all your classes? Have you always known each other but you never made a mood? Regardless, that's no reason for you to feel heartbroken. You should have been paying attention to other girls as well. Trying to narrow your target down to one girl may seem more reasonable at first, but then you are left feeling just like how you are feeling now when you find out she's not interested/has a bf because you have been glorifying this one girl the whole time.

In conclusion, just remember that there are always plenty of opportunities to get a girl, but it's up to you to enable how many of those opportunities come to you, meaning go out of your way to meet new people as well as befriend or get to know more girls. Don't be shy!

OT: It's alright, man. Everyone kinda creepily stalks someone every now and then.
Move on, and get a better camera get a better idea of what a person likes, instead of just looking at them.

I don't disagree with you. I know from personal experience that everything you said was true, and that when the OP's situation happened to me, I did need to suck it up and quit my bitching. It just wasn't easy. I hate speaking for people I don't know on the internet, but it seemed to me that the OP just wanted encouragement and support, which the cold hard truth is not.

There is always another girl to love. Its a motto i live by, and its pretty damn effective.

Though if you've liked this girl as strongly as you claim and its been for a long time, it will hurt. Best thing to do is to go out and appreciate what you have. Get drunk with a bunch of mates and go do stupid stuff like dance with traffic cones.

Seriously. Go now. go dance with a traffic cone. The world will seem like a better place for those brief bitter-sweet moments.
