Could we be getting a new X-Wing/TIE Fighter game?

The only Star Wars game I've played with a focus on space combat was Rogue Squadron on N64 and, I sucked and couldn't past one of the earliest levels. Anyway, more Star Wars games is a plus for me, although I'm more interested in that open world RPG LucasArts is working on, hope it's Star Wars...

These requirements are absurd. Do they know how limited that pool is? Most people who have done this are either out of the gaming industry or doing something on their own.

In any case - Yes, I would love it. Although I'll be more interested in Monkey Island: On Seagull's Wings.

Yes I would love a new one, and yes they should bring it to consoles.

If the game is on consoles it will probably make more money which is required if we want to see more aerial combat games in the future.

I want this game on WiiU. With all sorts of dials and slides on the controller, for engine shield weapons/shield placement/targeting computer! I will buy a WiiU just fow this if they make it. Its my dream.

It will be a clone wars title for kinect, your copilot will be Jar Jar and ships will blow up into flowers...

At least, that's what I've come to expect from Lucas' internal development team...

X-Wing, and TIE Fighter, the DOS games were great.
X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter for Windows was just painful to play.

I expect a future version to be every bit as good as Shadows of the Empire. Remember that one? Well, it sure looked like Star Wars, but I think drilling a hole in my head would have been more fun.

But I'd like to think positive: I'm sure it'll be every bit as good as Kane & Lynch 3.

HOWEVER: There's another Lucas Arts game that they could conceivably be re-making: SWotL
Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe. I don't actually know too much about it because the copy of the game that I had would never, ever load.

Yes, yes they are absurd. But what is really, really, sad is that all the job ads that I see in my field are just like that. They want a mega-shitload of experience because they haven't bothered to spend any capital to train anyone in-house. Just like 90% of other tech companies. That's pretty much why head-hunting has become a big deal. We gotta poach the new people cause we haven't trained anyone.
