Considering that I played the fuck out of Oblivion I'd need some new content, I should get some mods but I can't seem to find any good ones

If I had liked Oblivion, a subsequent release in the series wouldn't change my opinion about it. I'd still like it and still play it.

Unfortunately, I can't stand Oblivion. I've always preferred Morrowind, and I prefer it to Skyrim as well.

Sure, I like Oblivion. If I get tired of it, I can also switch over to Nehrim, a really fantastic total conversion from Germany.

I think I actually preferred oblivion. Skyrim seemed to be buggy, and half-assed to me. The NPCs were irritating as hell, and it seemed like there was no graphical difference at all. In fact, I recall oblivion seeming much much prettier.
\facepalm Skyrim is graphically superior to oblivion in every way imaginable. There were like 10 voice actors in oblivion, and somehow one beggar managed to have all their voices. Saying skyrim's npcs are irritating coming off oblivion is ridiculous. Either you are incredibly blinded by nostalgia, have terrible taste in games, or are trolling.
Or I disagree with you. OH NOES!!!!

The NPCs in skyrim tell me their lfie stories AGAIN, in exactly the same way, every time I so much as brush past them on the stairs.
I find that irritating. Sorry if me finding a game irritating irritates you.

God, no. I could never go back to Oblivion.

"Thank the Nine you're here. We need you for a matter of utmost urgency!"

"What do I need to do? Challenge someone to single combat? Stealthily assassinate an enemy ruler? Research a long-lost spell? Retrieve an ancient artifact?"

"What? No. We need you to go through Oblivion Gate #4287, make your way through yet another copy-pasted hell dungeon, and close the gate. Derp."

Does anyone think Oblivion and Morrowind will be remade as mods for Skyrim?
Oblivion maybe, morrowind no. Too much has changed in the engine since they were released.

This. THIS!

Now, I did like oblivon, but never finished it. I mean, it's main quest was fun, but leveling was such a goddamned chore, and making the stereotypical Heavy armor block sword character was overpowered.

I could go back to oblivion for about an hour, and then realise I love skyrim so much moar.

Go back to Oblivion? I have a hard time going back to the beginning of Skyrim and keeping interested. I have started every guild on my first play through, because I'm an idiot, and now I have no urge to start over and redo one guild at a time solely to build a X class character for that guild and quest line. I just can't keep interested in it that long, solely because I don't pace myself. So no, I couldn't go back. Never ever.

I couldn't go back to Oblivion before Skyrim. I can't seem to go back to Skyrim after Skyrim... and here's why:

Shit... I went from Skyrim back to Morrowind. It still reigns supreme in my opinion.
Amen to that!

Skyrim just makes me want to go play Bloodmoon again.

I believe I could, it's been awhile since I played it but maybe it'd be best not to, only because playing it would remind me of how much I miss the chameleon enchantment. :,(

Someone will mod it back in soon enough. Of course, if you play on a console, that won't really make a difference for you.

As I have not been able to get passed the first ten minutes of Skyrim due to the horrible interface, the sticky controls, and constant lag because it saves a new copy of itself every 5 minutes ... Yes, I would very happily go back to Oblivion. In fact, that is what I have done. I have shelved Skyrim and started playing Oblivion again.

I found myself back on Oblivion yesterday after 45 hours of my first Skyrim playthrough. However I couldn't get into the game at all.

2 weeks ago I was having a blast with Oblivion (modded Oblivion mind you) and I found it really fun and great to play. However After Skyrim everything feels so clunky and old fashioned.

The combat is dull and awful, as is magic. The world feels like a late 90s RPG (maybe due to the UI), the characters are AWFUL (every male NPC appears to have Jaufree's voice), the faces are horrible, and the alchemy system is nigh on unusable.

Do you think you could go back to Oblivion after Skyrim? I certainly can't, because for all the flaws of Skyrim, it is a massive improvement even over modded Oblivion.
Can and will eventually. For all the advances in Skyrim I will never appreciate generalizing stats in an rpg. I'm STILL angry they didn't have pole arms in Oblivion. And as for the lack of Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, Endurance, Personality, Luck and character classes in Skyrim...I'm annoyed to put it mildly.

I honestly had a really hard time getting into Oblivion. I could never get past level 10 without everything feeling repetitive and boring, even with mods.

But for some reason, I get hooked on Nehrim as soon as I get out of the first dungeon. Currently, I'm halfway through the main quest right now, and I still want to keep going.

I strongly recommend this mod. If you can get past the fact that you have to read subtitles and get through the lackluster first dungeon, it will probably hook you more than Oblivion ever did.

I can get back into OBlivion becasue Skyrim left out somethings that would make me want to go back to a simpler time without the Justicars pullng me aside becasue I support the empire. Like Spell crafting which was big for me back then, but it would be very hard.
