Considering that I played the fuck out of Oblivion I'd need some new content, I should get some mods but I can't seem to find any good ones
Or I disagree with you. OH NOES!!!!brainslurper said:\facepalm Skyrim is graphically superior to oblivion in every way imaginable. There were like 10 voice actors in oblivion, and somehow one beggar managed to have all their voices. Saying skyrim's npcs are irritating coming off oblivion is ridiculous. Either you are incredibly blinded by nostalgia, have terrible taste in games, or are trolling.cliffski said:I think I actually preferred oblivion. Skyrim seemed to be buggy, and half-assed to me. The NPCs were irritating as hell, and it seemed like there was no graphical difference at all. In fact, I recall oblivion seeming much much prettier.
You know what irritates me? Mudcrabs. Disgusting creatures.cliffski said:Or I disagree with you. The NPCs in skyrim tell me their lfie stories AGAIN, in exactly the same way, every time I so much as brush past them on the stairs.
I find that irritating. Sorry if me finding a game irritating irritates you.
Oblivion maybe, morrowind no. Too much has changed in the engine since they were released.endtherapture said:Does anyone think Oblivion and Morrowind will be remade as mods for Skyrim?
This. THIS!Shavon513 said:I always had a hard time getting into Oblivion.
Amen to that!Wayneguard said:Shit... I went from Skyrim back to Morrowind. It still reigns supreme in my opinion.
Someone will mod it back in soon enough. Of course, if you play on a console, that won't really make a difference for you.Nannernade said:I believe I could, it's been awhile since I played it but maybe it'd be best not to, only because playing it would remind me of how much I miss the chameleon enchantment. :,(
Can and will eventually. For all the advances in Skyrim I will never appreciate generalizing stats in an rpg. I'm STILL angry they didn't have pole arms in Oblivion. And as for the lack of Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, Endurance, Personality, Luck and character classes in Skyrim...I'm annoyed to put it mildly.endtherapture said:I found myself back on Oblivion yesterday after 45 hours of my first Skyrim playthrough. However I couldn't get into the game at all.
2 weeks ago I was having a blast with Oblivion (modded Oblivion mind you) and I found it really fun and great to play. However After Skyrim everything feels so clunky and old fashioned.
The combat is dull and awful, as is magic. The world feels like a late 90s RPG (maybe due to the UI), the characters are AWFUL (every male NPC appears to have Jaufree's voice), the faces are horrible, and the alchemy system is nigh on unusable.
Do you think you could go back to Oblivion after Skyrim? I certainly can't, because for all the flaws of Skyrim, it is a massive improvement even over modded Oblivion.
I honestly had a really hard time getting into Oblivion. I could never get past level 10 without everything feeling repetitive and boring, even with mods.kyogen said:Sure, I like Oblivion. If I get tired of it, I can also switch over to Nehrim, a really fantastic total conversion from Germany.
