First i would examine the man in-front of me, i am pretty good at telling if someone is douchebag or not by looking at their face.
If the guy looked legit, I would then ask the guy to tell me about his life, and pit our lives up against each other.
If he is married and has three kids, your not just ending one mans life, your destroying 4 other as well. All i am is a punk-ass teenager, he's life is more valuable than mine.

But if i didn't like the looks of this guy, then yes no hesitation.

I hate hypothetical questions like this because it gives a false dichotomy, realistically there are bound to be more options then this, more ways to deal with this, and this is unlikely to ever happen. I would rather shoot myself than shoot someone with out a reason, i don't think i could live with myself if i did that, and the sick bastard doing it would probably shoot me later for the fun of it.

Well, you should probably start feeling bad for whoever I'm paired with in the room.

Yeah, I'd shoot him.

First I'd check how many bullets are in the gun (hopefully there's more than one ;p). I'd shoot the guy in the right kneecap, and take in the screams of pain as if they were the songs of the sirens. I'd let him cry for about 10 seconds before I shoot his other kneecap. I would wait until his screams die down before hitting him in the face with the butt of the gun; hard enough to break his nose but not hard enough to knock him unconscious or kill him. About 30 seconds will have passed by then.

Depending on how many bullets I had in the gun, I would use all but one in the next couple of seconds, shooting the guy in his stomach, left hand, and testicles. After a short wait I would press the busines end of the gun onto the man's skin (wherever's convenient) and watch his flesh sear and scald from the heat. At this time I would only have a few seconds left so I would point the gun at his face and stand silently for as long as I dare, letting the man soak in fear (unless he's too busy with his pain). Then I'd shoot him in whichever eye I choose at the time and watch him drop with a smile on my face. Of course this is all assuming at no point does he pass out; that would suck.

I mean... A single bullet to the back of the head would kill him, why turtore the guy?

1. If allowed to, I drag the man with me and escape with him, before the mastermind figures out it's fake.
2. If there's still bullets in the gun, track down the mastermind and kill him. Making sure not to get shot by the rifle too.
3. I LIED! Kill the man without hesitation and walk away.

The only people whose lives' have more value to me than my own are my two closest friends. (Best friend and very good friend who is also my girlfriend).
My family members' lives, about equal to mine.

Any one else, I'd kill if it was necessary to save myself or aforementioned people. I would be hesitant, and my conscience would grill me heavily about it, but I think I would be able to, in a moment of "block everything out, you gotta do it...".

Without hesitation, is the decision selfish? Yes, but I wouldn't blame myself it was simply circumstances that put him in the way of my gun not by my choice.

There are alot of people in my life who I would want to see dead, I'm sure most of us can say the same thing. However this is a complete stranger, and so there would be a deep moral choice. If I was told that we would both die if I refused, then I'd pull the trigger. If I was told only I would die I would still pull the trigger, though with a deep sense of guilt afterwards.

Easily. I know it makes me seem like a complete bastard saying this, but I reckon I could easily kill anyone bar those I care a lot about. I can't speak from experience obviously but I think I could do it nonetheless.

I wouldn't be able to answer honestly unless I was actually in this situation and it's pretty far off that I will be out of nowhere.

The way I (think I) would handle stuff like this is I will not directly kill someone to indirectly save myself. It is entirely possible that this feeling would vanish in the very instant that I had to choose though.

The real choice here for me is live for one minute respecting myself or the rest of my life hating myself. In that case, I would choose the former without doubt.

Hey what if the guy was someone you had known for 15 or so years, had a wife who was pregnant and a son of whom you were the godfather? But the guy had gambling issues which is how he wound up in this position and the mastermind chose you because you needed money for an operation for your [insert someone important to you], what would you do then?

Much harder question now isn't it, but yeah I would still kill him except I would feel really bad about it.
