Courage the Cowardly Dog possibly returns in 2012

Yes you read that correctly, everyone's favorite ironically named dog will be returning to Cartoon Network sometime in 2012. That is unless CN turns out to be even more stupid than I previously thought.

This teaser trailer has been making it's way around the interwebs and from what i've been able to find it seems to be legit.
Whether or not they're new episodes or just reruns of the old ones is still unclear but the latter seems more likely. They're probably just following suit of Nickelodeon airing it's old 90's shows, and they know that new episodes would just make everyone happy which we all know is the opposite of what CN wants.

So what are your thought's on this? New episodes, reruns, fake trailer to get everyone's hopes up only to smash them into the dirt? Discuss amongst yourselves.

They do actually, and most of them are god awful. That's why the return of Courage, new or old, would be a very great thing.

They do actually, and most of them are god awful. That's why the return of Courage, new or old, would be a very great thing.

I thought most of that shit they tried failed horribly, mostly because they're trying to make live action shows on half the budget of Disney and Nick... And to be fair, Destroy Build Destroy was cool in a "watch people build shit" kind of way.

I hope it's just re-runs. The voice actor for the old man died several years ago, it just wouldn't be the same.

I'm undecided about this; the voice actor who played the Old Man died some time ago, so it wouldn't really be the same without him.

Adventure Time, Regular Show, Young Justice, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, ThunderCats, and the upcoming Green Lantern: The Animated Series are very far from awful, although I suppose that isn't quite most of them, it's still more than can be disregarded.

I haven't heard of this, I have to check my sources. I loved Courage, CN's Invader Zim, IMO. My brother will be thrilled if this is true.

On one hand I can see this going down well and on the other a complete disaster. Regular Show has proven that dark humor can be a viable option for a kids show (or that censors these days are INCREDIBLY lazy), but the new creators may entirely miss the point of what the original Courage The Cowardly Dog was about. Either way, I'm still refusing to watch cartoons on actual televisions again until Disney reruns Digimon Tamers. Damn good show, Digimon Tamers was...

From what I can find, it's only coming back to Boomerang to Replace Ben 10 at 5:30 PM. It's highly unlikely that the show will get a new Season... But if it does, all I can say is, "YES!"

One of my favorite shows from my childhood re-done? I have some mixed feelings. I think it would only be watchable if it had the main villans appear from time to time.

Other than that, cool. Wouldn't mind to see it sometime.

Now if only we could get Ed, Edd n' Eddy on that remake list...
