Let's see... creepiest thing for me is pretty explanatory, but still creepy at the time. When I don't sleep enough I hallucinate. Like, I'm bad enough I sometimes hallucinate after not sleeping for... maybe 24 hours... Usually, it's not too bad, just things in my peripherals, or bugs (gaah, they're terrible crawling all over me and appearing/disappearing out of nowhere!).

But one night, I stayed over at my friend's house to do homework until, like, six in the morning after being up since... maybe 5 the morning before. I had to go home and sleep as much as possible, and shower and change clothes before my first class at one. Anyway, his place was only a few minute's drive from mine, but it was just about the frigging scariest few minutes of my life. I hallucinated a man singing in the back seat of my van. Of course, there wasn't anyone there visually, it was all sound... and I have no idea what he was singing, just some nonsense pretending to be a language. And a nice tune... I'd've listened to it if I'd found it on the radio or the internet... but I could hear it clear as anything, like there truly was a man there.

I know, and I knew at the time, that I was just hallucinating, but I guess that almost makes it worse... I easily could've hallucinated a car coming at me and swerved into a tree to avoid it, or even hallucinated that there wasn't a car where there was and hit it... it still freaks me the hell out thinking about that...

What exactly do you think it was?
No, but I fucking love that movie :D

But I think it was a ghost of some sort. A man had died back in the 70s in the house I lived in.

But the figure I saw had eye sockets, just no eyes. Just a black void.
It is a good movie, and if you see our mutual friend tell him good luck.

I had a dream an old man stalked me and hid in my attic, then proceeded to IM me on MSN while I had no idea he was in my attic. One day I hear a thud and assume it's a firework, and I'm on MSN. He IMs me and says "You asshole" to which I, confused, reply with "What?" I was in my boxers I believe only and all of a sudden I hear loud yelling and and thumping, so I panick and run down my stairs but trip down halfway.
Turns out I was sleepwalking since I woke up to the pain of falling down stairs. Have you ever woken up doing the same thing you were doing in a dream? Well lemme tell you, I didn't know I had woken up, I thought I had blinked. I feel bad for my mother.

Of course I find this thread when it's nighttime, well here goes anyway. I've seen lots of creepy things although I think at the top of my list was a few years ago during the weekend. I was up late, doing stuff on the computer and watching Pulp Fiction (had the dvd running in the background). Anyway, you know that part where the girl needs the adrenaline shot through her chestbone, well right as they jammed that needle into her (it's 2am mind you) Lightning strikes outside. That scared the hell out of me.

I was at my grandmas house and in the room I was in the fan was particularly loud. So I went out into the lounge and tried to go to sleep on the couch. I was about to fall asleep and then all of a sudden I heard something in the kitchen crash and then something in the dining room move and then like it was right in front of me the TV turned on. So I did what most people would do, I panicked and yelled out loud. my grandma came out and turned on the lights. There was nothing there.

one: nyeeeeeeeeehhh thats fucked up.

two: a face at your window...

when I was younger, I was living in a house on bayfront. nice little place, caught tons of pufferfish, though we couldn't eat thm seeing as how we are japanese chefs, but what the hell. doggy too! at night however, EVERY NIGHT, without fail, someone or someTHING would walk past my window at night, I tried looking once and saw... nothing. there was a shadow, and sounds, but actual THING making the noise. vashta nerada anyone?

the face at the window reminded me of the shadow at my curtain.

also, I once went hiking at night. the constant sound and low visible REALLY messes with you.

I do remember going into one bookstore. It was really old and had two levels. So went to the top level, while my mum was browsing the lower one.

I'm flipping through some book of anecdotes when I hear my name being called. Naturally, I assume it was my mum. So down the stairs I go, ask my mother if she'd called me. She hadn't. In fact, she was so absorbed by the books, she didn't really care all that much if I existed or not at that point in time.

So... who was it? I still don't know.
That was probably someone calling to someone that isn't you but has the same name. That happened to me quite often when I was younger.
Yeah, nothing really creepy happens to me because when it does I stop at nothing to find an explanation for it.

I yelled at a stalker in the youtube comments for making a girl who does hypnosis vids quit. Turns out, he is fucking insane and sued Google for over 10 billion dollars. So now I'm waiting for a letter or something. He litteraly threatens people over what they say in the comment section on youtube.

Now as in creepy shit that happened... the only few things I can think of was me wondering, "what if there was a fire at my house?" and then returning home to find that our neighbors gasline had a leak with fire fighters all over the place.

The next was when I was ten, the second night I had spent alone by myself, shit started falling over in my house periodically during the night. About every thirty minutes to an hour, something would fall over or make a random loud noise. I didnt know my moms number, so I just huddled up with my dogs in my room. I was probably fed acid tablets or something.

Creepiest thing to happen to me was probably one morning when I was delivering the local newspaper and I saw an article about a paedophile school teacher or something and it had a picture of him. I looked at the picture and then went to cross the road and I saw him drive past me, or at least someone that looked a lot like him.

I was with a couple of friends in the city, on a street that we all knew fairly well. It was one of those streets that just has shops up and down it, and we were walking along the sidewalk, browsing, when we came to a gothic-style door that none of us had ever seen before. Curious, the three of us went inside and found a dimly lit shop with stuff piled all over the counters and against the walls. Strange things, like stone gargoyles and civil war relics and all kinds of old, odd artifacts, but the things that freaked me out were the paintings leaning against the wall. The colors were really washed-out, and there were layers upon layers of paint. They seemed to be faces, and the artist must have done some kind of sculpture underneath because the faces seemed to be coming out of the painting, like that ghost came out of the wall in The Frighteners. After looking around the shop for a few minutes, my friends and I left. I've since been back to that street quite a few times, but I haven't ever seen that shop or the door leading to it again.

Oh my God, the last four months of my life have been a lie!! I knew it! *sob*

Lol, ya, pretty much. I'm odd and often wonder if I'm hallucinating ordinary life... then I decide no one would hallucinate something this boring...

Liek OMFG!!11!

But for real, I didn't just see it in my peripheral vision, I stared at the goddamn thing for at least 10 seconds before I ran. I could make out a white face with no eyes staring blankly with it's mouth agape at me.
Waaiit... how's it staring at you with no eyes? But seriously, that's creepy... ghosts shouldn't go around staring at people, it's just plain mean...

On more than one occasion, a scared little girl has called my phone number, almost crying, telling me to take her home. It's creepy as hell, it's like something out of a horror movie.

Really? My name is Felicity.

Not exactly common where I live, in fact I think I've met two other Felicitys.

I once woke up by someone grabbing my shoulders and shaking me urgently - not the nicest way to wake up when you're home alone. It only happened that once, though.

While it might just have been something that transferred from my dream as I woke up, it was still creepy as hell.

There was one time I had to take a crap in the middle of the night. When I was done, I usually turn of the lights. And then I was about to go upstairs, I felt a cold wind and heard breathing from the stairs, and it felt like someone was there, seriously I went into my kitchen and was like 'wtf was that?' when I went upstairs, the 'thing' or someone was gone.

That must be the most creepiest thing i've ever experienced.
