I've had people ask to touch my facial hair. (I'm notorious for these sideburns, and nowadays the neck-scruff, too.)

Most of the compliments I get are pretty standard... it's just that they come from really fucking creepy dudes. D:

I used to scratch my friends chin when he still had his beard. He made this happy puppy face.

you have beautiful eyes.

it was from a girl and I'm a guy. i never want to be called beautiful.
I'm a little surprised by this, so you can never call a guy beautiful? Orlando Bloom had better be an exception!
mean aren't beautiful, men are handsome, rugged, and sexy. and that last one is pushing it. the only thing about men you can call beautiful is their mind, and for me that's a negative.
I think I get it. And from a girls perspective being called beautiful isn't always nice, like if your boyfriend says it a lot it's stupid. I actually think "hot" is a better compliment sometimes.

"You have very thin veins!" From a nurse, when I was getting blood drawn, and it had to be done with a butterfly needle in the back of my hand.
Later, I found out it wasn't a compliment at all, but at the time I was noticeably unsettled.

A nurse told me I have a nice shade of blood
o_O This one wins.

Don't have a creepy compliment to contribute, at least not off the top of my head. Will think on this, and be back...

"You have very nice eyelashes." Yeah, my manhood was instantly obliterated when I heard a young assistant say those words. Optometrists can be very creepy sometimes...

Yes, that line is code for "I acknowledge you are in a relationship, but being the dick that I am (and think with), I'm offering you this veiled last-ditch compliment, secretly hoping that you will respond with something to the effect of 'I wish he realized that' or 'yeah I guess,' potentially revealing a crack in said relationship and thus renewing the possibility that a concerted effort on my part might still 'get you.' "

And yes, yes that one compliment means all of that at the same time. Though to be fair, women pull that shit too (it's been done to me as well).

OT: I've been told by several women that I'm "mysterious." I get that they find that attractive, but it's still weird to hear.

Quite a few people in my life have thought that I am a girl. I really don't see how, but I always got compliments on how pretty I was.

Creepy, yes.

I think I said something like "oh well thank you" and it took me like 5 minutes to realize how creepy his statement was, and I think thats why people get away with stuff like that. Mysterious is attractive if your good looking, if not it's scary. Life is full of double standards.
