Super Metroid (AKA Metroid 3), for SNES.
While the controllers where perfect and graphic was awesome, I´m just going to as a fairly simple question: Where the hell am I supposed to go? No, seriously, the game never tells you. The laboratory in the beginning was a good way to start and easy to get through, but once you lands on the planet Zebes, it´s like the help interface says "Screw you! I ain't gonna tell you anything! Oh, If you want to look for clues on your way to the end, good luck, for I deleted them all! haha >:-D.
I like games that tells you where you are supposed to go, but you have the freedom to explore and power up before you go there. But this is just exploration without any form of the slightest information of where you need to go. All you know is that the last metroid is stolen by Ridely, and nothing else.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, for the Nintendo 64.
While this is a game with awesome controllers and pretty decent graphic, this game has some of the most boring dialogue sequences ever put in a video game and some retarded looking characters which are also annoying as hell. Navi will constantly yell for you to listen all the time. Even of she just want to help, she is still annoying. The Owl is the worst character in the game. He will make you read the same dialogues over and over again, and at some point, even fly you back to the Hyrule town when you´ve spent 20 min. just getting somewhere.
The scene where you take up the master sword for the first time is recommended to watch if you are tired and need help to fall asleep. This is supposed to be the most epic moment in the game, but as darkmindedsith so perfectly described it in his walkthrough: "It was actually kind of boring. There was talking, some more talking and even more talking for those especially bored".
This game may tell you where you are supposed to go and give you freedom to explore, but once you reach certain places, you need something else from far away to get through. Once you get through, you need something else to proceed which are also found at the other side of the world. Boring. But if there is one thing this game is famous for it´s the puzzles and the dreaded water temple. The puzzles can go from annoying to being a reason to quit the game. The water temple is the worst temple in the game and is just as hard even if you´ve played through it before. After these puzzles you encounter the dungeon boss. These bosses are either easy or tediously killing time as you wait for them to expose their weak point.
One funny thing about this game is the fact that I want to like this game, but I just can´t find myself to like it.
