Halo. I found it boring.

I haven't played the multiplayer, but I found the single player campaign of CoD 4 very boring.

Lord of the Rings. Again, too boring. I read about 200 pages of the trilogy, and stopped after that. This is one of the few cases where I've liked the movies more than the books the movies are based on.

I get why I don't like stuff and know the reason why the mindless masses like stuff......and know I am a bastard for it.

Critical acclaim=popular for paid media snobs.

edit:I will ditto the Bioshock statements here as a game it fails on so many levels as a "visual medium"(think film) its midly interesting.

Glee and anything done by David Lynch or Tim Burton. I have no idea why they are popular
Glee = high school musical for TV
and
Lynch = Pretentious wankery
Burton = ok he has one or two good movies ( Mars Attacks! and Edward Scissorhands) apart from those two films i have hated everything else he has ever made.

I don't get Avatar...right it was Dances with Wolves, Last Samurai, Fern Gully, blah blah, insert other movies that were much more groundbreaking, in space.

It was ok on the special effects, and I kind of liked the story but it was by no means what people made it out to be.

Is Twilight critically acclaimed? I thought it was just popular to massive amounts of rabid preteen and mid teen girls. I can't believe anyone outside that demographic would even watch it.

Not sure if it was critically acclaimed or not, but I hated the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. The original was pretty good, the remake was a preachy diatribe on why man is 'evil' and had no redeeming qualities to speak of. Plus there were some large continuity issues that I hated.

Other than that, most stuff produced by Hollywood, including the people. If it gets critical acclaim, its most likely on my no watch list. I'll make exceptions for stuff that's actually good.

Portal. Found it boring and repetive. I've had friends try to explain to me how its got perfect pacing, brilliant puzzles, etc and all, but I just hated it.

the elder scrolls (all of them), Fallout 3 and every RPG with combat ala WOW or diablo.
the elder scrolls just couldn't entertain me how hard i tried to be entertained, it was just not gonna happen, same thing for Fallout 3 wich was just oblivion but in a new setting but i really like the post apocalyptic genre (i've watched the Colony al the way to the end) and the combat in most RPG's is just the same thing. the RPG's where i liked the combat were: gothic 1,2,3 and risen.

Justin Bieber, and anything that is shat out by the Disney corporation nowadays.
Since when was Justin Bieber critically acclaimed?
These recent months and thanks to the incident in Australia which only proves how stupid fangirls are.
I live in Australia, I must know what happened to apologize on behalf of my country if we did something retarded.
A bunch of Bieber fans acted out in hast because of the cancelling of his "concert" and some ended up in the hospital over it.

Arrested Development and The Office.

My mates tell me all the time that they're hilarious. I've tried to watch them a number of times, but I just don't find anything about them funny.

Agreed with the latter (haven't seen the former), I just can't get it, great as it supposedly is. Maybe with British comedy (since it was originally British) I prefer stuff like Monty Python and Look Around You.

This applies across the board in film, books, music and games of course.

I'm Indie Pop/Rock kinda guy and I don't get 'The xx', 'Tv on Radio' someone explain them to me please.

Also 'The Graduate'(too American?) though Ebert did retract his review later. Also why did Zooey break up with the boyfriend after watching this in 500 days of Summer?
That is so weird, we just started watching the graduate in Film class.

GOD that movie sucks, all of the acting is so awkward and fake.

Nirvana. Yes, they made one decent song that apparently reflected a generation of disfunctional youths. That doesn't make them the best band in the world. Far from it.

Ironically, Kurt had the cheek to say Guns n Roses were one hit wonders?!

MW2. Private matches are fun but when the hell was there a pill that makes you survive 10+ shots to the skull? Its not even like juggernaut which is canceled out by stopping power and its 10x better. Also the Barrett M107 (It's ACTUAL name) and Intervention being equal in power is bullshit, but thats probably for balancing issues. And what the hell is up with all these campers bragging about getting nukes from camping B or spawn camping C or A in domination? I'd rather take the last objective for a challenge than camp it. Also this is MODERN Warfare so why's there a gun from 1887?

The Great Gatsby sucks. If you like it, your lit teacher has successfully tricked you.

I dislike F. Scott Fitzgerald's work with a passion.
Omg your so right. My teacher sat there and tried to convince me that it was the greatest book ever. When in reality its the worst..after twilight
