Abe's Oddysee - The lack of checkpoints.
My favourite game is the sequel, Abe's Exodus, which had a quick save function! How am I supposed to criticise it?

Muramasa: The Demon Blade. One of the most simply fun and beautiful games I have ever picked up.

Aside from each Blade's specific special ability, every single technique is taught to you from the very start and you never unlock anymore, you will find yourself repeating a lot of the same combos for the 4-5 hour duration. A good 90% of the specific Blade special abilities are useless or simply not worth it since they drain your Blade's gauge with each use and just asking for the enemy to break it after. You have to backtrack a lot, even worse so if you forget to stock up on Bronze Mirrors. The two characters you get to choose from play pretty much exactly the same.

Who are these stupid aliens taking over the human race? I mean, come on, this is so unrealistic.

But if I am talking about realism, I might as well talk about this robot (which is unrealistic) that my female friend has and he can make things float to his hand, and he can throw them really far without applying any force! Qft is this, and not to mention... the game actually gives you that ability! You can pick up and punt stuff super far.... they call it the Zero Point something or other....

And those big green bugs don't even attack me when I hold their bait? And how do I get another when I throw it? Most unrealistic game ever.

But, of course, the most aggravating aspect is the lack of cut scenes. I want to be able to do nothing while the game tells me whats happening. To top that off with my own characters lack of dialog. Come on, so lazy.

Morrowind doesn't support widescreen monitors without user made plugins.

Not that Morrowind is my favourite game, it's just the one I most feel like playing right now.

Neverwinter Nights.

As a game from 2002, it hates dual-cored Intel processors. Lots of problems with it.

Diablo 2.

...Resolution?

Kingdom Hearts, while your levels are vast and beautiful, the lack of inclusion of a mini map is just short of retarded.

Unless you're in the right mindset, the writing of the sex scenes in Tsukihime is cringe-inducingly awful. And no mindset helps for some of them.

Also, the ending theme is terribly jarring, especially after the game's more depressing or bittersweet endings.

The Half Life series had some wonderfully creepy, alien influences to it. An imaginative, organically disturbing view of Xen, creepy Aliens, and some wild weaponry. So why is it that Half Life 2 has become so terrestrial? Headcrabs, Zombies, and Antlions, at this point, all feel like they are a part of a futuristic earth, most of the other aliens look too mechanical to seem alien, the Combine themselves just look like futuristic police, and Vortigaunts have fit in so much that they have taken on janitorial roles, and speak in english. Advisors are the only real hint at anything truly alien, and they are used sparingly. Even the weapons are very terrestrial and straightforward, makeing me severely miss the Egon Cannon, Snarks, Wasp cannon, etc. My first thought when I got that first glimpse of the source engine ages ago was, "Damn, I can't wait to see what Xen looks like in this incredible new engine". Now, the engine is starting to look outdated, and I still havn't seen Xen. Dystopian is great and all, but I really want more things that feel like they couldn't have possibly started on earth.

Legitimate complaints about Oblivion...

1. It takes a few tries to make a character that works well, and doesn't end up under/overpowered.

2. Main quest...so...boring...

3. Thieves' Guild questlines were glitchy as fuck.

Silent Hill 2:
-Wonky controls
-Bosses consist of pulling out your gun bang bang, run to other side of room bang bang WIN
-It is easy to get lost in the apartments
-Having to reach your hand in toilets

Halflife
-If it's your second time through, enjoy that long intro train ride again
-The Alien world is boring
-Pretty much a giant sewer level at times
-Make it up to the surface, go back down in the facility, up to surface, down.....

DDR
-It's not dancing, but flailing on hard mode
-Most of the songs are annoying and actually quite embarrasing to listen to, even as a girl
-Smelly people who play
-Annoying announcer
-Broken arcade pads
-People who grip the bar for dear life
-That one time I forgot that its not a good idea to play in a short skirt
-Smelly peole who play (bears repeating)

BioShock - Is it that hard to make the important characters more distinguished than the rest of the Splicers?

Mass Effect 2 - Yet another Boss fight? Come on!

Half-Life 2 - NPC's at the end of the game are disastrous

Team Fortress 2 - Uhm, nada. Alright, Sandman and facestab.

Nier: What kind of New Game+ mode is that? You want me to play through the game again to hear a few extra snippets of dialogue and see a few extra cutscenes that make the soulless monsters who we're supposed to hate seem human and relatable?! WHAT! THE! HELL?!?

Timesplitters: Ehh... The first game made no sense. Go to time period A. Then you have to steal something which is unknown to you then run back in the opposite direction. Rinse. And. Repeat. Also, where's the continuity? In the second one I played as Harry Tipper after jumping through the time portal as Cortez. How do they become the same person in that yet still meet each other in the third?
