I really don't think they care about this kind of thing anymore, what with the RC car and the crossbow so sit down shut up and see how it works out.

Well I guess it could, but it looks like it's going to be incredibly cheap. One shot to kill? >_< They better have some way to balance that...

Well, it worked in 007: Nightfire. I hope they make it easier to use than it was in that game though, since if a CPU was using it, all you had to do was walk back and forth and you could watch the arrows fly by you.

Hmmm, realism of guns? Or exploding crossbow? I play for fun, I think it's an awesome idea.

Honestly, I think crossbows just aren't the best weapon for "modern" shooters. Cool in Half-Life, but even then it was only because of it being the only sniping weapon in the game. Bioshock did it okay, but even then it was just a situational weapon (what with the trap bolt). I dont know though... Esplodin' bolts? Sounds pretty cool. Hopefully it works alright.

They possible could. They failed for me in HL2. Generally however, CoD and gaming doesn't mix

Fun Fact: The automatic crossbow goes as far back as before christ, and as far today as the early eighteen hundreds. So yes it's practical. I could see it being the riot shield of Modern Warfare 2 though (seems out of place, unfair, ect.)
Practical if you have about a dozen untrained guards at a decent elevation that are not relying on accuracy. (Unless we are thinking of different models.)
