Are we thinking the same Phantasy Star Online?

Beating the shit out of Dante (Second Battle) in Devil May Cry 4 on any difficulty. (Yes, also Legendary Dark Knight.)

Also, in Aria of Sorrow, fighting against Julius, Heart of Fire makes the fight 100x times more awesome.

When I finished Banjo Kazooie, ten years ago, when I defeated Gruntilda. That felt amazing, seeing the witch go down to the ground. The entire boss fight was a real treat to play, with that excellent Gruntilda theme playing in the background.

Finishing the Ostagar section of DA:O with a mage character. The game gives you two warrior dudes to fill out your party (archers if you play a warrior as main character), and I knew from my first playthrough that they get killed right after the final boss battle with an Ogre. So before that battle ended, I took all their armor and weapons off of them (to sell later) so they were running around in their undies. Somehow, one of those unfortunates managed to get in the killing blow on the Ogre with his unarmed melee attack AND triggered the slow-mo knife plunge/leaping animation. Imagine that, I had an unarmed man wearing what looked like a white diaper jumping up onto a 10-12 foot horned monster and beating it to death in the chest with his bare fists.

Immediately afterwards, this unlikely hero gets pincushioned.

I know this isn't technically a gaming achievement, but I slept with a girl named Alex Mercer.

And no, she did not look like this [http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/prototypeuniconrn.jpg].
If this isn't a joke/troll/meme, then I tip my hat to you sir, that is some well played win.
Thank you for ruining Dragon Age for me.

Please use spoiler tags.
Don't worry, in the general scheme of things what I've revealed is so insignificant as to barely merit a spoiler tag. I haven't told you what the plot context of the fight was, when the fight occurs in the game, how to beat the Ogre (which isn't in my mind a boss because they're not unique creatures), or what the implications of the fight are in the general scheme of themes. Mainstream movie reviews give out far more spoilers left and right. If you haven't played DA:O yet, then I encourage you to get it post haste, it's truly fantastic.
Having just finished Ostagar a few hours ago, I now see your point. No hard feelings!

Petty moralities!

However, I'm usually nice in RPGs too, and in Fallout it really felt great when people would come up to me and give me a stimpack or some ammo for being a nice guy. It wasn't much, but I appreciated the thought.
Indeed. There were lots of rewarding little moments, such as when you helped DIego and Angela get married.

Though it was somewhat morally dodgy by the fact that in order to do so you basically helped her to date rape him...

Yeah. I agree that was a grey area, but hey, love conquers all some say.

And you've changed your avatar.

In Operation Flashpoint: Finally clearing the airport of enemies and then going to the control tower and blowing up a tank with a javelin while the building was collapsing from having huge chunks blown off from tank shells.

then came the disapointing bit SP was too short and MP was boring so we went back to cod 4

Last week, playing Left 4 Dead 2 with two friends and a random guy who joined. Second chapter of Parish on Versus.

We get to the alarm section and turn it off without TOO much difficulty. We hear the tank music and get freaked...one of our guys runs to the safe room (our group is every man for himself to a point) and finds the tank parked in front of it. He somehow manages to ninja his way past it and into the safe room. The rest of us get there and my other friend bile bombs the tank, which allows me to sneak into the safe room. The tank dies but downs my friend first. Then a jockey jumps on the random and pulls him behind a truck.

My other friend and I debate whether to leave, and my downed friend says that there are no other specials waiting, so I pop adrenaline and get my buddy up as the other goes and shoots off the jockey. Three of us make it to the safe room as a horde arrives AND our last guy gets boomed on. We start shouting directions at him because he can't see ("GO FORWARD! LEFT! NO, YOUR LEFT!"), and he stumbles into the saferoom for a round with full points.

We ended up winning by about 2000.

Beating the hard path on starfox 64, me and my cousin always tried when we were younger but could never make it and then earlier this year he was cleaning his room to move to college and found his N64, i dont care what you say, the hard path is hard as hell.
The Star Wolf fight at the end is one of the toughest boss fights ever. The brain at the very end is easy, 'cause if you take the right path, you get an extra life. Getting out alive, however...not so much.

I got a 15 kill streak once in CoD4. It felt awesome.

Indeed I have. I felt like a change after a year with the same one!

'Tis an old pic of me that a friend took.
I deem it cool. It has a certain "deceased 70's rocker" feel over it, if that makes any sense.

My crowning moment would be when I got the flag in a game of Instagib CTF on Unreal Tournament, my entire team died trying to get there so I was alone when I took the flag. It was the Facing Worlds map and low gravity was turned on; I got to the top of their tower and leaped off the edge in the direction of our flag, got an Ultra Kill and scored for the red team!

And now nothing I can ever do will top that...

Ha! Thanks. I see what you mean, it must be the wonderfully pretentious use of tenebrism to light half the face.

Pity I wasn't doing my Zoolander look.

Edit:

However... it could never be as cool as an animated 8-bit era Mario.
