A living legend at 91 years and still acting+directing. His IMDB trivia is an interesting read.
You know, I’ve always thought of Eastwood as an old man, but this trailer is the first time I’ve felt he’s looked elderly. It’s such a weird feeling; like this man will have to die in his sleep because if death tries to take him while he’s awake he’s just gonna get called a pussy and punched in the junk.

Movie looks solid, a little award baity but I’d be willing to bet it’s still going to be good.

For me it was The Mule. He looked and acted too old for the part he was playing. But hey, if he can still direct a movie he can probably still do most of the things it takes to star in one.

I’d take it all the way back to at least Gran Torino in that respect. It was the first time he could legitimately pull off the grumpy old man trope.

He looks decrepit in this.

I think we all know that this is going to be his last movie. I sure hope that it's a good one. The man is an absolute fuckin' legend.
I doubt he and I would agree on much of anything but the man's a hell of an actor and filmmaker, so I hope this is an appropriate swan song.

I thought "The Mule" would be his last. I'm very surprised to see this. I think they have to take out insurance on him to see that he even stayed well enough to complete filming.

People do age very differently. That he is still active at 51 is a marvel.

I have a feeling he’s also been thinking this since like, Unforgiven. Maybe Gran Torino before he was really like, “Ok, in case this is it, I’m cool with it.”

He was pretty good in The Mule a few couple years back. Acting wise he's aged fairly gracefully. It looks pretty tacky, but I tend to keep an open mind when it comes to Clint Eastwood. He rarely fails to deliver on the acting side although I heard "the trouble with the curve" was pretty terrible. To his credit he at least picks stuff it makes sense for him to be in.

Funny, because this was the exact sentiment I had about the exact same actor when replying to @SilentPony in the Venom 2 trailer thread concerning his dislike of Woody Harrelson's casting as Cletus Cassidy. I thought of actors I didn't like, but whose performances I respected, and Clint Eastwood immediately sprung to mind. He's brilliant on screen and from a director's chair, but debating an empty chair in the real-life political arena? He's nigh insufferable.

I don't give a shit who he is as a person; there are plenty of actors I don't like as people, but still appreciate their acting talent.

He's never been an actor with a great range, but he was also never miscast so you don't really notice it. His talent lies more in writing and directing. In fact, I'd say that the guy is a literal genius as a filmmaker.

He was always a grumpy old man: just for many years without the advanced age.

Checked out the Woody Harrelson stuff a while back and it appears to be highly exaggerated to mostly wrong. Possibly the result of some overexcited Chinese whispers, but still doesn't rule out him being a typical self-absorbed celeb who does stupid stuff at times. Not gonna defend Eastwood though.
