I've been looking for something to do during my boring ass classes. Mind if I jump in?

Name: Ryan Sedin (Pronounced Se-deen, guess where I got that and you win my respect...)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Human (I'm so creative)
Description: 6'4" with medium length dirty blond hair, piercing blue eyes, clean shaven, slightly tanned skin. Pretty lanky, usually seen wearing a red toque, black t-shirt with various sayings on them, blue jeans, and a beat up pair of black sneakers. He's very nice, generous to a fault, but doesn't appreciate people who judge him on first glance. He can also be somewhat naive at times, often believe outlandish claims without so much as a second guess.
Current Citizen
Bio: Was born and raised in the West District, to the owners of the highest rated hotel in the city. He has a twin brother, Daniel, who was anointed the heir apparent to the business when they were both 16, so Ryan decided to do what he always wanted, fly mecha. Training was a bit of trouble, as his stature made it hard to cram into the smaller training mechas used, and because of this, he was not successful on his first couple of attempts to pass. But evetually he got so good with the controls that he completed training when he was 20. He's has been piloting for the past year and a half and has gotten very well acquainted with his mecha Salo. He hasn't been in an actual battle yet, mostly just patrol duty, but he's ready to go if need be.
Rank in Company: Pilot Rank 2
Mecha's Name: Salo
It's an open RP, you're welcome to come and go as you please, just write yourself in and out accordingly ^^

Hey guys! :D I'm actually really glad to see this moving again, I still feel bad about leaving Dx

Anyway, I already told RavingPenguin, if I get enough free time in the future, I'll be coming back as Gil hopefully :p

Also if someone wants to make a new thread and carry over the OP, I don't mind at all, it'd be easier to organise characters sheets then (Which I will be doing now for everyone >_>)

Cool. I'll just put something up quick before I grab some lunch

Ryan, you know after a year of doing this, patrol is getting really, really bland.

"I know, Salo, I know, but it's our job, and you gotta do what you gotta do," Ryan said to his mecha, although the feeling was mutual. It seemed like the days were just running together. Come in, wander around outskirts for 10 hours, head back home. It was getting to be a grind, and Ryan longed for something to break up the monotony of the shift. As Salo turned the corner and came out of the long canyon, he saw something that made him regret that longing. Metal scattered around the area, it looked as if there had been a crash. Two mechas were already on the scene, and it looked pretty bad. Ryan guided Salo towards the carnage and hopped out, making his way to where the other two pilots were.

"What the heck happened here?" he asked. "This looks like a scrapyard just sprung up overnight!"

EDIT: Nevarmind
"Good, someone else has arrived." Leo said, "Make yourself comfortable, we are waiting for others to arrive. 2 more should do for the task force I have planned. I will not discuss this until they have arriv...." Leo paused and passed a curious glance over the new arrival. "Soldier, you look new. Have you had a chance to talk to Ned and get program 95 put into execution?" He asked. "If not, than I cannot use you, you will be a risk in the upcoming operation. I will not risk Gil's life like that."

Meanwhile, outside the city, Fyodor Kennedy and Deadpool, his mecha, were finishing some tests on the latest prototype equipment, as he had been doing for the past six months.

"Well, the new jump jets are working fine now. I dunno what was wrong with them before."

Or maybe the eggheads that were working on it before fixed the problem.

"I still don't see why we get stuck playing lab rat. I swear one day a mistake by one of your "eggheads" is going to kill us."

Would you rather be spending hours a day staring at sand?

"Point taken."

Hang on, I'm receiving a message... Good news: you've been sent on a mission to investigate the disappearance of another pilot and the utter annihilation of his mech. But first we have to see a guy named Ned about a plan 95.

"Oh, boy. More untested crap for me to try." Upon "jumping" his way back to the hangar, he approached the first person he saw, a man wearing a fedora, and told him he needed to see a guy named Ned about a plan 95.

"I know I've probably done enough by now, but-"

"Hey, you know where I can find a guy named Ned?" Someone said behind him.
Ned turned around. "Oh, that's me. You need Plan 95, right? Just plug your mech into this terminal and I'll turn it on."

Ned started inputing the activation code, a process he had memorized by now.

"Kar, you should probably get going. I was going to ask if I could have access to your communication channels, But I'm sure Leo will let me into the link when everyone gets there."

Kar nodded "I'll do it if he doesn't." He said before leaping back into his mech and taking off, he quickly landed near Gil's empty mech "Karilad, reporting for duty." He said through Crasher's loudspeaker, then to himself he snickered slightly and said "Hehheh, duty."

Leo stopped pacing, looked up,and nodded. "One more." He said. The man was clearly stressed. Hang on, just a bit longer. He thought to himself.

After reporting to some of his higher-ups regarding the jump jets, Luther went to the coordinates of the wrecked mecha as fast as the jets could take him.

Woah, what happened here?

"That's what we're here to find out, I suppose. Now which one of you guys is in charge here?"

"That'd be me." Leo said, stopping in his tracks.
"Le'arda, open a comm link with Ned please. The people here need to see, Ned doesn't."
"Right way sir, comm link established." Le'arda chirped.
"We have enough people for a small insertion team now, so I'll begin the debrief. There 4 sets of tracks around here." He pointed in a large radius. "One set belonging to Emerson, another to the scrap heap you see to your left, and 2 more unidentified. I believe this was an ambush, the scrap pile and its pilot were bait while the others waited out of sight. Gil is an outstanding pilot, she took some damage," Leo pointed at Emmerson, "but not the amount that I would expect from her competent." He continued. After the enemy had been turned to scrap metal, the others sprung the ambush," Leo pulled a metal canister from a courier bag he had. "This was the tool. This," he placed the 2 foot tall and 6 inch wide canister on the ground, "is a localized EMP burst. Its tech I used to experiment with before I came to Celentic city." Leo sighed, this next part would be tough. "The fact that our enemy is using this tech, the driver I found in the scrap heaps combustion chamber, and the dead pilot all lead me to one conclusion. My tribe has kidnapped Gil. The reason behind it is simple, they need 3 young human women for a harvest festival taking place a week from now. As many of you know, Gil is not human, though she hides it fairly well. If the enemy finds out about this, she will be put to death. We must find her before they do. The festival is a week away, that gives us 5 days to get to the tribes current location. 5 because we will need to plan. I intend to use a shock and awe campaign, hit them hard and hit them fast in order to surprise them and rescue Gil in the confusion. I do not need cowards to accompany me. Following that, I do not need those unprepared on the front lines either. If you are either of these two, leave now, you are a risk to our commander." Leo finished confident that his point had been made.
"Any questions?" He asked.

Ned had been listening intently. Leo rarely said anything about his old tribe. Gil must be in real danger.
"Choppy, prep the smithy. I'm going to be working soon."

Sure thing.

Code:
"I think it would help us all if we knew more about your tribe, specifically this harvest festival."

"I myself don't know the details anymore." Leo said over the link. "Its been over 2 years since I've been banished, and even then it had been for playing with machines. The fact that my tribes warriors are using mechs and the like speaks volumes that whoever is in charge, they've been able to create a total revamp of the tribal system. When I was banished my people were cautious of even using hunting rifles. Also, the harvest festival takes place over a 4 day span. On the climax of celebration, the 4th day, 7 days from now, a sacrifice is made. A sacrifice of 3 women. It has always been this way, throughout the annals of history. The entire tribe will be present at this event. Thus the need to create havoc when we commence the rescue. Any more questions?"

Code:
"Nothing from me. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to head over to the Smi-...The workshop. I'll start working on something for the "Shock and Awe" technique you're going for. Over and out."
Ned signed out of the comm link. "Shock and awe, huh..."

He smiled. Ned had an idea.

Ryan just took all this information in. It seemed amazing that something like this could happen in this day and age. The tribes had always been peaceful too. He started to answer the commanding officers questions.

"Well I'm not "new" new," he started. "I've been with the company for well over a year, so I'm no rookie. I've been on patrol duty for most of the time though, so I don't get a lot of combat practice. I have no idea on this Plan 95 you're talking about, I don't think Salo has that program either, but if you're looking to go in there and cause some chaos, we should be able to help accomplish that at least."

Are you kidding? Salo raised the cannonesque right arm he had been crafted with. I've been waiting to actually use this thing for so long, I'm going to reduce that tribe to its base components!

"Take it easy, Salo, jeez," Ryan turned back to the officer. "So yeah, if we need to get that program, we'll do it, you able to uplink it from the HQ?"

Le'arda began chirping and singing like an excited sparrow
"Thats a very good idea girl. Thank you." Leo smiled, and gave Ryan a once over. "Whats the range on those cannons, and just how accurate can you be with them. You may not need the program at all."

Back at HQ, Ned was in the designing stage of his newest creation.
"Hm...I suppose I could change the power supply to accomidate the camo...I'll need to update the swivel on the legs, so it can run when it has to..."

Hey, those are my blueprints!

Ned almost spewed coffee. "Choppy! You know not to interrupt me when I'm working!"

What are you doing with my blueprints?

Ned settled down. "I'm working on a new combat droid, and I was thinking of using your base design."

I thought you were working on that new shell for Gil's rescue mission.

"I Was. but I realized something. This is a rescue mission. We need reconnaisance as much as we need anything else. So I figured I'd make something stealth based, to carry out the rescue itself."

And you're using my original design. Without even asking.

He sighed. "Can I use your original design?" Even though I'm the one who designed you... He added silently.

Alright, alright. But you'd better not name it "Choppy II" or something.

"Don't worry. I'm a little more creative than that."

Ella didn't have any questions. All she wanted to do was execute the plan and rescue Gil. Gil had been the only person Ella had actually talked to the entire time she was a recruit and young pilot. She respected her and would do anything to get her leader, and friend, back.

Jumping back into the cockpit Ella grinned widely.

"Are you ready Eclipse? We're going to rescue Gil but there's no way of knowing if we're going to come out of it unscathed... or alive."
"Seeing as how I am a machine I don't have emotions or feel pain Ms.Ella. But as a human would put it.. I will follow you to the gates of hell. And seeing as you are my pilot and control most of my actions I don't really have a choice."

Ella laughed at the mechs bizarre sense of humor. "Well then.. All we do is wait for our orders from Leo and we're on our way."

Luther opened his mouth to say something, then thought better of it. He figured, since we were most likely not going into direct combat yet, the bird's-eye view the jump jets could provide would be more beneficial than any additional agility gained by removing them.

Well, what's our next step?

"Wait for further orders, I guess. In the meantime, let's check to make sure our equipment is in order, starting with our energy swords."

Well, all right...

Gwen had listened through Leo's speech. "If they have mechas then you may want Ned's weapon. I can install it, like all field work it won't be perfect but it should work. It should only take about ten minutes, your call if the payoff is worth the delay."

Leo held up a hand to Gwen. "You forget that Im a mechanic first and a pilot second. I'll install it, it wouldn't do us much good if it decided not to work half way through the fight."
Leo smiled, he needed a distraction. "Le'arda please come this way and use the projector to display a diagnostics on Atlas please. I need to see the best way to attach that thing."
Before he set to work he turned to the rest of the pilots and said, "Right we leave 3am tomorrow morning, that gives you 6 hours to do what you need to. If you're late we leave without you."

"Well, we'll be here," Ryan confirmed. "Salo's cannon's pretty high accuracy. 'E can hit whatever I tell 'im too out here. So, if we're good to go as is,we won't be disappointing."

This is awesome! About time I got some freaking action! Thought I was going to rust over here!

"Salo! For #$%#$ sake!" Ryan chiled his partner. "We'll be set to go tomorrow morning. For now, cool your jets!" He turned back to the commanding officer. "I'm sorry. Salo's a bit overanxious. I'm Ryan by the way. Ryan Sedin."
