So i was working today and one of my co-workers came in to buy something. She was wearing one of those shirts with the owl that says how many licks etc. I was talking to her and the lady behind her saw her shirt heard me say she worked there *talking about schedule* and proceeded to confront her about her shirt tell her it was wrong she should be fired because of the shirt *though she was off the clock and not even susposed to come in* told me to tell the manager she was offended wanted her fired etc. This made me think what. the. fuck. I mean that has to be A a common shirt and B thats not offensive at all unless you have a perverted mind. Hell thinking of that i have shirts that would make that lady have a heart attack and die. 3 examples of mine. *dont know how to post pics and cant find them either so...

1 Belphegor shirt. Has devil character with naked ladys on the front says bondage goat zombie. Back says Music Satan Art bottom We will deadfuck them to pieces.

2. Vital Remains. Has the pope in front of catholic church with pentagram on his head and on back says Where is your god now

3. Goatwhore. Has loions around pentagram says Carving out the eyes of god. On back says stay sick stay fuck hail satan.

Anyone else had someone confront them about something their shirt pants etc said or easily offended by things people wear

Well, at work, my grandma (yes I work with my grandma) got uppity about one of the waitresses wearing cleavage tops on a regular basis. But a shirt with an owl and some words that may be conveyed as offensive? And while you're not working? Sounds like the lil old lady's a little over the top.

EDIT: The most offensive shirt I own is a shirt of Wolverine, which might be thought of as unprofessional, but I'm a delivery driver, so furked if I care.

Firstly, proofread your posts. Your grammar and spelling are atrocious.

Secondly, find something interesting to write about. Humans being overly sensitive stories are almost as common as humans being bastards stories. The difference is that the latter tend to actually be entertaining.

So I take it they gave you your own knife when you were done with camp?

OT: Honestly the women should have minded her own business, your friend was there on her time off, basically as a customer, so she could wear what she wanted to.

I used to rock a bunch of cannibal corpse shirts and stuff and I could understand people complaining about it. I don't think they were right but I can understand it. I mean my shirts had like decapitation on them and stuff, but now I wear skate shirts (since I work at a skate shop) and I've actually walked into another skate shop and the guy told me "Get that shit off your body, Element (a skate company) sucks. Rip it up and I'll give you a free one." and I actually told him him where he can shove his suggestion. I like Element, he doesn't. So what. But apparently he wants me to destroy a shirt I like so he can give me one he likes for free, but it's not the shirt he doesn't like, it's the brand, oh noes, I'm wearing a brand you don't like, better get that shit off me, right?!

EDIT: oh, and to add about the shirt about the owl shirt the girl had, I kinda think if they're not 100% sure what the shirt is about, and they don't ask, claim it's offensive. I've had people ask what my tattoos mean, and when they learn they aren't offended, why can't they do the same for shirts?

That's completely rediculous.
But make sure to proof read the post first, as you said "It was wrong she should be fired because of the shirt", that has a completely different meaning.

I think he just wanted to get the shirt off you. =P

But to address the original topic, the only time I have ever confronted somebody about a choice of fashion was a girl who was falling out of her shirt. I just asked her to cover up. Those death metal shirts really don't bother me.

Oh me either dude, I used to wear em, but you could understand a grandma not really complimenting a shirt of a women having nails hammered into her neck.

i have a shirt that says "look busy jesus is coming"
and a few megadeth shirts, with the skulls and stuff
plus one where a guy kills himself with a gun in the mouth and the blood out the back of his head becomes birds that fly away
all of these scare the crap out of some of the kids at my school

...What? Was that sentence meant to possess some sort of coherence or were you simply attempting random comedy? Because it didn't work either way.

Bit of an over-reaction.
But what was the actual shirt she was wearing? You don't think you could post a link to a picture of it, could you?

Also, what happened in the end? I hope your manager didn't actually fire her...

Says something more about her, especially when she has to explain why it was offensive to her.

If its just the 'how many licks does it take to the center of a tootsie-pop' kind of shirt, then theres nothing wrong with it.

This was offensive?

"How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?!"
"over 9000~ >:O"

I cant imagine being offended by something on a T-shirt unless it was extremly personal. I think the manager was looking for an excuse.
