while I'm not a huge fan of the witcher CD Project seem to know what they are doing as far as a developer is concerned

and you know...cyberpunk...
I can only echo these sentiments. I used to play a game called Neocron. It was a cyberpunk MMO that was a neat introduction to the field. I think it had some big update a while back.

Good company history, good genre. Looking pretty good so far...

The rather extreme post-beta changes to pvp, catering exclusively to griefers, pretty much killed the game.

It's got very small server populations now, probably just enough to keep them running.

I'm specifically talking about your most valuable gear dropping on death and being pvp lootable. (Doesn't even have to be a pvp kill, you can die in pve and get player looted).

In the beta all that droped was one random item from your quickbar, usually a medpack.(If you knew you were going to die you could pull your weapon off the quickbar, even if you didn't, the risk was 10%). After the change you'd be guaranteed to lose whatever was most valuable, and oh there was a trick where they can rez you, kill you again and get more loot from you. Joy! Did I mention this game has heavy debuffs when you die, AND when you quicktravel, so groups of gankers have a tendency to wait at quick travel destinations.

It was an awesome game in beta, retail, not so much.

Mind you my experience with the game is from several years ago, so they may have reversed the most egregious shit, but I honestly doubt it. Mmmm yeah it's still shit. [link]http://wiki.techhaven.org/Player_vs_Player#What_Death_Means_In_Neocron[/link]

I am very excited for this game. I love anything Cyberpunk, and the Witcher is one of my favorite roleplaying series/fantasy series of all time, and I love CD Projekt red too. I feel it's in good hands and I can't wait to see gameplay of it.

Am I the only one who cannot WAIT for this MAMMOTH game to come out in 2015/2016? It's a dystopian RPG with some gothic references.
Yeah I want this game already, however the problem is that the main CDRED team has been working on TW3 all this time and that's not due out to late 2014. So I wouldn't expect Cyberpunk until late 2016 at the earliest, probably more likely 2017.

Oh. Right.

Well, that sucks. Shame, I always enjoyed running about the sewers as a psychic and zapping the little plants on the floor below by cheatsy-shooting through a gap near the wall.

Oh yes, and all the bot cops being stuck in a spawn-die loop every now and then.

Jesus, all I learned from that was "it's like deus ex" (modded people).

I know NOTHING about this game other than it's set in the future and it's got people with metal in them. As a trailer it kind of sucks, is it an action game? RPG? Turn based?

I'll look into more when it's about a month away but a year or two? No point getting hyped.

I'm definitely keeping an eye out for any news for it, but I've been disappointed enough with games to learn to reserve my judgement until any gameplay appears.

The concept is fantastic though. Especially if they turn it into an RPG. Something like Deus Ex: HR but with its own art style would do nicely.

I am absolutely looking forward to this game. I didn't know who CD Projekt Red was many years ago when I picked up The Witcher on a whim looking for something new to play on the PC. What I got was a game with a fantastic plot and fairly meh gameplay, but I have almost always been willing to forgive mediocre gameplay for a well written story. This game made me an instant fan and when Witcher 2 came out I immediately plopped down all of my money for it. I was slightly confused when I got change back but still happy to have my copy. Witcher 2 did everything they should have done, save for a few bugs that they later fixed as well as added gameplay patches for free! So when they then come out and tell me that not only are they working on Witcher 3 but also a game that is genre similar to one of my favorite PnP games(Shadowrun which did not recieve a stellar video game, fuck you very much for that Microsoft), hell yes I want to give them twice as much of all my money I gave them last time.

Been quite interested in this since last year and will eventually be looking forward to it's eventual release and hopefully it will live up to the building hype.

Also noticed 4 people are more heavily interested in why PS4 is included in the title even though I know where this "interested" is going to lead us to.

Although I am not too well informed to the whole Cyberpunk universe (the tabletop), the setting I find very intriguing.

The trailer just oozez pure awesome. Also since it's CDPR we are talking about here and they are working with Michael Pondsmith (typo perhaps on his name) I bet that it won't disappoint one bit.

I hope they pull a Dead Island by having the super heavy trailer and then having the game be about shooting the math out of hordes of robots.
