I'm not seeing the cyborg revolution in this, it's just a fancier prosthetic. Robot hands have been around for ages, though I guess most of them wasn't controlled directly with nerves etc.
Oh, and mechanical parts can't repair themselves, so flesh > iron.
I still think the whole fanatical pursuit of being normal is a bit iffy. There's some famous amputee(no arms or legs) in Sweden that outright refuse to use prosthetics and considered them humiliating during his teen years. He didn't like how they stated what a body should look like or something. He's really cool.
