CYOA: "Third planet from the sun!" Act 1: The battle of "Khe san!"

"I´m 20."
"20. Thank you. You may now reunite with your squad in the food court."
Your squad...
You joined the army in 2493, when you were 18. You´ve never been to Khe san before. Noone in your squad has.
You walk to the food court. The station you are on is called 34-R.
Soon you´ll be launched up to space station 4-M, orbiting around Khe San.
"Danny! Come over here!" screams someone.
You look in the direction of the scream, and wouldn´t you know, it´s Albert Steiner!
Steiner and you went to high school together. Steiner was a German exchange student. You were both trouble-kids, which explains why you both joined the army at the same time. However, when you decided to be a rifleman, Albert decided to be a explosive master. Fits him well. He´s bigger than most. He´s only one year older than you, but he looks like he´s 40 already.
He´s the explosive master in your squad.
"Albert Steiner, you crazy son of a *****! Come here!" you say.
You both share a hug.
"Danny, you old kite, how´ve you been?"
You and Steiner have been seperated for a month now. You had to take a lesson in how to survive on Khe San.
"Oh, i can´t complain. Too much."
You both laugh.
You and Steiner go and take some food. It´s some kind of yellow goo that´s supposed to be potato mash.
"I see the food hasn´t changed that much." comments Steiner.
You sit down and start discussing old memories.
"Hi boys. Mind if i take a seat?" says a voice.
It´s Kate Moss!
Kate joined the army in 2494. Her dad and her mom had both abandoned her after she failed to complete high shcool, so she learned to live on the streets. She joined a whole bunch of questionable groups, in which she advanced in ranks until she was a master sniper. However, in the end Kate was convicted with attempted murder. But rather than go to prison, she decided to join the army.
She put her skills to good use and became your squads sniper.
"Sure Kate. Take a seat."
Kate sits down and start eating the potato mash.
"How can you eat that? It tastes like old socks." says Steiner.
"Are you kidding? This stuff is gold compared to what you get on the street."
"ATTENTION!" screams a speaker.
"All shall find their way to sergeant Johnson´s quick walkthrough of how to survive on Khe san!" it continues.
"Why? We´ve already finished the class detailing it." asks Kate.
"Probably just so that we remember the most important stuff." says Steiner.
"Yeah. By the way, where´s Jonathan?" you ask.
Jonathan used to be...actually, you don´t know much about his past. He never speaks of it.
"Anyway, we better get to the breifing."
You walk into a small room with lots of chairs.
Sergeant Johnson is standing on a stage.
When it looks like everybody´s here, he starts talking.
"You have come here today for a reason. And that reason is that you are being shipped of to Khe San. I´m here to remind you what you need to survive. Listen carefully, or die. It´s your choice." he pauses.
"Everybody´s in? Good. First off, and arguably the most important of all, Khe San´s air is Toxic. And it´s not Toxic in that it´s unbreathable, it´s toxic in that it sucks all the oxygen you have out of your body. Ten seconds and you lose such helpful abilities as being able to walk and move. 20 seconds and you die. So whenever you are in an area where the air hasn´t been purified, make sure to wear a gas mask. There are three types of Masks."
"The standard one, given to you all by us. It´s pretty weak, and it´s breaks easily. By the way, if you see anyones elses gas mask break, or worse yet, your own breaks, don´t bother tryiin to fix it. Just hold your breath and make sure not to breathe. The advanced Gas mask. This one is more resilient, but still breakable if you try hard enough. And ofcourse, the mark one gas mask. Practically unbreakable, but expensive as hell."
"Number two: The Xenos. The Xenos are fast, resilient and smart, but they lack guns and rely only on knives and swords. This makes them very vunerable to long distance combat. They look like humans, but with rastafaris for ears."
"Number three: Remember who you´re fighting for. The Xenos may look human, but on the inside, they´re monsters, that hate humans."
"Hey sarge! Quick question! Where´s Jonathan?"
"He died of a heart attack." says the sarge.
"A replacement is coming when you get to the space station."
"All right. Thay should be it. Any questions?"
A:Ask nothing.
B:Ask about Khe San.
C:Ask about The Xenos.

I guess in the future, wars are F2P, sustained by micro-transactions.

You walk up to a counter. A merchant is standing behind it. There are tons of supplies on the walls behind him.
"Hi there. What you want?"
"I think i´ll just browse, thank you."
"By the way, are you by chance Danny Whaltz?"
"Yeah, that´s me alright."
"Well, the sarge told me to hand you this paper. It´s a record of where and when Johnathan died."
"Oh. Thanks."
"You´re welcome. The equipment we´ve given you in in your room."
