In their ongoing campaign to save the gaming industry from itself /v/ have once again decided to metabomb [http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/portal-2/user-reviews] a new release.

Screencap of first page of the relevant thread from /v/ [http://i.imgur.com/cGgFk.png].

Is it called for? Are DLC unreasonable? Are people just being petulant? What do you think?

Thread is still up on /v/ if you're interested. You all know where it is.

Who gives a flying fuck what /v/ thinks?

People who aren't children have better things to do than bomb metacritic.

This is nothing but angry manchildren (or just children, perhaps?) venting their enger in the only way they know how, by being complete and utter idiots.

This accomplishes nothing at all. Whatever their grievance could remotely be is overshadowed entirely by the utterly immature and infantile way they attempt to address it.

/v/ doesn't like video games. This is nothing new.

Just let them have fun, game reviews aren't worth shit anyway.

User ratings aren't inherently worthless it's the flame wars which overtake them which cause them to lose value. You used to be able to go to rating aggregate sites for a pretty fair analysis of a game, now the user reviews reflect the opinions of the organized minority. This doesn't concern you at all?

I find this practice to be quite disturbing. If I were unsure of a game and saw a rating like that I would not buy it.
Anyways, later I'll waste an hour reporting all the bogus posts I can.

Well, it didn't work on me. I already bought the game.

I guess it doesn't really matter to me if they do this or not. It's a form of free speech. Immature speech is still speech.

Let's face it: metacritic are shit. You can't take a bunch of people and expect them to give an accurate review. Even if you don't get greiftards (like here) you'll still get flooded by fanboys, morons and yes-men giving it no credibility whatsoever. I say, let it go out of buisness so people look at real critics. Like Yahtzee of IGN (which still has a bad case of said fanboy problem)
whats a greiftard if I might ask?

anyway aparantly it has somthing to do with some DLC which may or may not exist

like anyone should care what 4chan thinks anyway

Actually, I just went to metacritic and if you do you'll notice a MASSIVE gulf between actual critic reviews (mostly 100) and user reviews (less than 10). Note that some of the complaints are retarded
"You can dismiss this as "trolling" or whatever you want (because somebody couldn't POSSIBLY not like the game) but it was a huge let down for me. Feels like an incomplete game, only 4-6 hours of game play and it's game play that is basically copy and pasted from Portal 1. Huge amount of day 1 DLC was kind of a slap in the face too. Collapse"
I give you this

for those who don't have the time to read it, IGN goes through about 3 gels and said "that this is barely scratching the surface"
Who are you going to believe I.G.N. or trolls?
I think its because (as I said a million times before) the first game being what it was SOME peoples expectations are soo huge they could never be fulfilled,

This is why we can't have nice things.

Metacritic should censor or do without User Reviews. We obviously can't be trusted with them.

One of the morons are on the Metacritic homepage representing "The People's Score".

registering complaints about having to pay to unlock the content of a game you've paid for isn't 'petulant' or 'immature'. The day one DLC in portal is absolutely outrageous, and the /v/ros are more than entitled to knock the game for it.

Wait, Valve did day 1 DLC?

They don't strike me as the kind of company that'd do that. I'm surprised. Still, 0-bombing is stupid.

thought for the day: and itserti

4Chan consists of nothing but a bunch of immature fachists that should be ignored by any sane person.

If you can use the internet only as a tool to impose your own opinion onto people by force you are no better than the nazis who used the fruits of the industrialized age to fuel their genocide.

I mean what else are we supposed to take from this? They disapprove. Alright. They have the right to. But this way of conducting the massage? What is that supposed to tell us, instead of "If you don't listen to us, we will break your stuff", which essentially voids all their points and makes them internet-bullies.
